£12 million worth of shares have not been 'dumped' at the end of the day. This total is the called the uncrossed trade (UT) and is simply the result of trading buying and selling of RR in the period 4.30pm to 4.35pm, which is the end of day trading auction. If you want to know more then google Uncrossed trades. Hope this help you StillaNovice. Try not to think of the £12 million as a single trade but thousands of smaller trades. Then you remove the idea that this is a single person buying or selling x number of RR.

IMO I believe the market makers were using Friday to fill the early morning order book and that the share price of RR. was kept artificially low to fill the order book. I do not for a moment believe that an investor can buy 25+ million shares at the end of the day when the EMS is a mere 3000. This site states volume of the shares sold Friday were 27+ million and I believe these twin trades bought most of them.
RE: the spike at 2pm ish the MM killed it off very quickly to feed the order book. What happens Monday is open to speculation, news and the MM. DYOR

I get your point about the 6p jump from x to y. The closing price is crystal clear at the UT trade of whatever.
It is not for me to wonder why someone has bought almost the total daily RR. sales on Friday (about 97%) £36million worth of 25+ million RR. someone with very deep pockets. I wished I had such deep pockets. I bought more RR. on Friday, just to say I am invested in RR.

In last post I meant to write 2*18 = £36 million. I put £37million because that was the value of shares bought on Friday.

CW1966 "looks like a duplication of that buy on list" I think this was correctly listed as a twin buy of in total £37million at the opening price of 142.26. I think that most of the sales on Friday filled this order. I have recently seen this pattern of twin trades a number of times it is not an outlier. For example, 10/11 I think, 2 trades at 147.1 also at the opening price for 1,555,758 £2million for each trade. DYOR.

Please selecta6 can you tell me what BP is short for? Apart from oil company I can only think of blood pressure. "BP show a higher (142.26p)"
