In other shares of mine quiet news periods usually mean waiting and delays.<br /><br />In CERP quiet news periods seem to mean they are off working on new deals, licences and negotiations.<br /><br />And every day (aside from the Corporate and paperwork side) they are tweaking. Pulling a lever here, installing a pump there. 10 more barrels here, 30 there.<br /><br />Very happy to be here. Plan to buy more if profits elsewhere allow. Just hope I can do so under 5p.

I believe that the licence will be sorted as part of the farmout being finalised. I just do not believe a major company would farm in without it being regularised. So as part of the Govt role and approvals that include licence, farmout, drilling plans and (perhaps even) production plans I think it is all in the pipeline. Interested to see if the Zubs can make the Govt move any quicker. My expectation is they can.

I believe the FID and financing news will make this a de-risked project and should catapult the shares upwards.

However, I believed the same about Aminex' farm out. The market got that one wrong and there is real money to be made there in the coming weeks.

I am not a trader. I buy what I like and hold. But the experience has made me wonder about keeping some cash back for such a buying opportunity.

I invested here because of the size of the prize. My conclusion was that the political risk (the Bahamas not wanting to drill and ruin their no1 current industry, tourism) was ameliorated by the size of the prospect. I did not believe that a prospect this big would go undrilled.

I know about "consortium" but thank you. I was using that word because others have used that word to answer my question.

And I have been here years. Many many years before the exclusivity deal. I had written off my holding and they were firmly in the bottom drawer when the exclusivity deal was announced and the share sprang to life.

I still hold for those reasons (size of prospect). The point I am seeking to make is that it is deeply negative if a Major has walked away. And now we are out of the exclusivity period at the end of August without a further announcement the only reasonable conclusion is that they have walked.

I fear that they don't like the geological data. If that is right it completely undermines my original reason for being here (that there is oil and it is enormous). I don't believe this is BPC playing hardball over terms.

I got out at about 3p-ish on the morning of the announcement that exclusivity was over. I held back half because I could see the ambiguity in the RNS and still hoped that my original reasons were valid.

I hope my negativity is wrong. I would love this to happen for BPC. My holding is not big enough to make me lose sleep here. But we are in the business of interpreting the news given to us and it is not good (and getting worse with exclusivity ending with no update). The market thinks it is terrible news but I have to say I am surprised this has stayed at the 2p level. I can see no reason for that now.

Are you automatically a deramper if you question the meaning of the RNS wording but reach a more negative view than yours?

I would love you to be right as I still hold some. No one can explain to my satisfaction why the Major would give up exclusivity if the deal was on. And getting a consortium together is hogwash. No Major committing to this sort of deal wants more parties to contend with.

I would like Drewky to keep updating and posting his list. It is useful.

I would also like Drewky to filter and ignore the wingers who are about to be proved so wrong. But if he wants to spend his time defending the Co (in a way I agree with) I will just thank him and go off wondering what energy drink he uses.

Drewky FWIW I think the important news was the Tanesco v TPDC issue. Tanesco are not paying TPDC. TPDC cannot pay the companies. TPDC issue a ridiculous claim against the Companies. It is a cashflow/stalling tactic and nothing more. As I understand it the Govt are now tackling Tanesco. All will be resolved IMHO
