SP doesn't make a lot of sense seeing as they already declared the rather nice div next month. I will be getting just over £2k and some of you more than that.
It's always the same when a panic gets going (e.g. Boris's panicdemic back in '20) because there are so many thick people out there. After they have recovered from their panics the thought comes maybe I should not have panicked I had better get back in and up goes the SP. In the case of LLoyds as an example the SP dropped to around 30p at one point and very few stopped and thought is covid really going to affect Lloyds profits that much. But my son did (taught by Dad) and bought a tranche at 30p. The rest is history as they say.
I do so love a panic so I can get in cheap. When we had Boris's covid panicdemic my son bought a batch of Lloyds Bank at a knock down price and made 50% within a couple of years. I didn't have any readies on that occasion but I do today LOL.

Usual loonies selling their stuff I see, it doesn't seem to enter their heads that Trump's lunacy will make no difference whatsoever to LGEN's bottom line.
Coeur, Quite right, its cash that pays the divs and I am getting ready to buy a fresh tranche after ex div at a hopefully much lower price. Tax on divs is less than half of rate on gains now.
Doesn't look good to me, only a few weeks ago SP was around 460's which was a bit more realistic considering that a major hazard event would do a lot of damage to the bottom line. I will not be buying after all
Wouldn't exactly say "ore down" when it was less than 1% and of course we have little knowledge of what the deal is between RIO and China. Production figures are far more important than some mobile market prices.
This will not rise as much as the AV. price because a substantial part of the consideration is of course cash which of course is going nowhere especially in these inflationary times.
....is now very high but why? Are they saving up for a purchase of something or are they going to do a special at some point as they did two years ago. I must say I don't understand the market reaction on the 14th and if it drops again next week I shall be buying as I have a bit of spare cash at the moment.
Dadean, All good stuff but the simple reason I am in is because a regular yield like this is quite rare, you certainly wouldn't get it from a building society.
