An "Activist" Institutional share holder might prove a godsend to small investors. There is oil down there and money to be made imo but will small investors see any of it?

Even in the short time I have been invested this company puzzles me, great prospects, decent news flow but sp just bumping along in the dirt.

Encouraging news, a US investor has purchased 3%, was that all part of the recent primary bid share sale or a seperate event?

The sp will float around 8p for a while imo but clinical results will push it significantly up or down. Holding and hoping.

Until traders stop top slicing and refuse to sell? At the minute I think a fair few small investors step on and off the OMI roller coaster to trade for small gains but at some point an RNS might appear with drilling and assay results which confirm this is a Tier One Resource after which a bid will become a certainty. Would you sell a Tier One Exploration Company for pennies?

Not as bad as I feared, clearly other delusional shareholders like me who suspect there is oil down there. The delusion imo is not that HUR can make money I firmly believe it will.....but not for small investors. I still hold a small stake and willing to wait for another few months to see what unfolds.

I would predict a drop in sp at market open simply because any news that is not deemed good = bad. In fact the RNS is neither imo, the company intends to drill and extract more oil just not this summer.

Providing the oil keeps flowing at 12,000 bopd all well and good if you can excuse the pun but the market may not see it that way.

Me too, I also received an offer via Primary Bid but just did not think the discount worth it with gold prices fading under a rain of paper shorting.

wtf? Somewhat surprised to see this down 89% this morning is it part of a re organisation of issued shares?

The future is unclear imo and will remain so until the management issue a technical update on the reservoirs. For the time being, 12000 bopd, selling at a good price and cash rolling in every month is as good as we can all expect. Were it to transpire that more oil can be pumped on a daily basis or that more oil can be recovered with a few modest engineering tweaks then that would be a game changer.

I trade PMG so top sliced a few thousand not long ago close to 40p but just purchased 15,000 via HL this morning at a fraction under 34p. I think the sp will cycle back up towards 40p on reasonable results and were a bid to emerge higher still. But as has already been discussed below a bid/JV seems unlikely and much would ride on what Tom Cross wants to do with his shares.

I am a small private investor and feel happy about the share raise and price. My hunch is that uranium will see an uptick in price over the next few years and YCA is a less risky punt than investing in mining stocks.

Example, Salamanca Spain where BKY are trying to get permits to construct a uranium mine and the lefty eco idiots are doing their best to block it. Madness imo given the number of nuclear power plants in the EU.

Was the sale expected?

Not unusual as folks sometimes buy a cash amount of shares which equates to an odd number and the market makers buy in blocks so a few small trades not anything to worry about. Manipulation is usually off the radar of small traders with simple tools and trading platform options.

I thought it worth going over old ground this morning to see if I could glean any wisdom from the recent roller coaster ride?
One thing struck me, while the "get rich quick" attraction of a small miner quoted on AIM plays to my greed I wondered if it might not be smarter to have invested in Newmont?
While still chewing this over I do think my future play might put 25% of allocated money into the Min(o)er and 75% into the major player in a JV? As and when OMI sp rises I will act on that but interested in views here?

Just read an article in Alpha Returns suggesting Newmont one of several gold miners that might do well in 2021 and beyond. Given my worries over sp volatility over at OMI of which Newmont owns a slice it might be smarter to invest in the major and not the mine(o)r!!!

Good results, plenty of oil, low production costs and prices up. I recently took profits, today I feel inclined to buy more!.
