Impossible to answer because nobody here at least knows how long the oil will last beyond "tomorrow". Cash in hand and a well still producing 12,000 bopd and oil prices at healthy levels versus the bond holders? I am confident that there are years of oil in that reservoir why?

Not geology, not engineering but more human psychology. The original CEO over promised in order to get the investment the drilling and production underway. When his hype hit a brick wall of engineering problems, complex geology, water cut and recoverable reserves the market over reacted in the other direction and assumed that everything he had promised was BS and that the bond holders would take their money and leave the small investors naked.

But life is not black and white it is often shades of grey and the future of HUR as an investment nuanced, uncertain but not over just yet imo. Awaiting the next production reports with interest.

Where there is some hope for EVG and others working in the same field because Covid19 vaccines are becoming discredited. Some media suggesting the UK might need a third "booster" jab this year to counter mutations. AZ vaccine on hold in some countries because of concerns over blood clotting. A bunch of folks will say screw vaccines and push for better covid19 treatments and I would not blame them either. EVG is a punt dyor.

I am lucky in that I trade in blocks of 10-15,000 shares, bought early and when you are 160% up the fees are an irritation rather than a major bleed on your profits.

A perhaps expected but encouraging RNS today re investment of placing monies into more uranium stock at $27 a lb. If prices start to rise significantly the considerable uranium stocks held should appreciably boost the net asset value of the shares and in a virtuous circle also the sp.

ontarget....hence I am invested here and in other biotechs because diversification is better than betting your shirt on one "sure fire winner". The road to drug licencing is rarely smooth and IMM is still in play so I have maintained a stake in it but I hope that EVG gets it right first time.

Yes even HUR might just have its day.....things are looking up......the FT today.

A quick read of the results found what looked to me at least like very strong assay results. Has anyone else read the report and got a view on the assay results? While the company is exploring and not producing yet this seems like very encouraging news for anyone holding Southern Gold shares. MTR holds 17% which is nice as they say.

I would guess at around $500 mn if the debt is sold on but would be delighted if you were right and it all gets paid. I am heavily invested here and disappointed by the market reaction to the RNS but willing to hold and wait.

Thought it was clear....Phase 3 trials do not always deliver a drug license at the first attempt and so sp volatility a given in this sector. A few of us here own both IMM and EVG.

Good news but stay grounded with regards EVG. A couple of years ago IMM were at a similar point, shareholders were optimistic, the sp rose substantially. But the P3 trial results disappointed and did not appear to offer much efficacy beyond the placebo group.

As it happens, after the sp plummeted the company looked at the P3 trial set up and realised it was flawed. IMM is hoping to see better results from a second P3 trial this year, it currently trades at around 9p a share. DYOR, I am hopeful that EVG comes good first go but this is a risky sector.

AIM prices can be volatile as they are relatively easily manipulated by large traders and....the price of gold is shamelessly shorted by paper trades at the main exchanges in London, NY and Chicago. Precious Metals (PM) prices also rigged by big players, see below. Enjoy the ride and don't bet more than you can afford to lose. I think PAT a promising exploration company but DYOR.

This move might be a precursor to the main event? We do not know for sure what the management have planned but clearly the next big move is not in the North Sea.
By year end India will have coughed up some of what they owe and CNE could be sat on a huge pile of cash. While it would be great to have a real dividend pay back for investors there might there be a plan to buy something with it?

Fair point but in mitigation while fuel/oil consumption is down in Europe because of fewer car commutes and airline travel we all still use gas for part of our domestic energy needs. I agree the detail will be important but the news is a welcome distraction from India and the compensation case.

Totally agree bullen, ESG investors may well push uranium prices up and YCA will ride that wave. I was also very encouraged that an institutional investor bought 14% of the company's shares this week. They will have done their homework more thoroughly than me.

From the FT, when a major players copper mine hits trouble it is good news for SOLG. There are not that many major copper resources up for grabs in the world and this one more accessible than Mongolia.

"Rio Tinto is set to start face-to-face negotiations with the government of Mongolia as its seeks to complete the $6.75bn expansion of a huge copper project in the Gobi desert. 

The Anglo-Australian group is sending a team of senior executives to the capital Ulaanbaatar to try and hammer out a new financing agreement so that the development timeline can be maintained and underground caving operations can start later this year.

The discussions will focus on a number of issues including tax, a new power agreement and benefit sharing, according to people with knowledge of the situation.

Anyone got a view on this figure? The LSE fundamentals suggest we are trading at just over NAV of $2.08. Financially YCA looks like a good bet given it makes a profit, has modest debts and trades at NAV. Is Uranium going to be part of a commodities bull run perhaps the wiser question?

Has someone just acquired 14% of YCA shares or am I mireading this?
