OK why 70p like you tempted to re invest having made modest gains a year or two ago? What do posters think the net asset value of Thomas Cook today? My own reading from the FT July below
"Tui and Thomas Cook were among the FTSE’s sharpest fallers on worries that hot weather and the World Cup had hit demand for package holidays.
“We have spoken to a number of tour operators and travel agents in recent days, and the consensus is that overseas holiday bookings have been weakening,” said Morgan Stanley.
About a quarter of summer holidays are sold late in the season and, with operators having already raised prices to cover higher accommodation and fuel costs, margins on excess capacity would be squeezed, said the broker. It cut 2018 earnings per share forecasts by 11 per cent for Thomas Cook and by 3 per cent for Tui.
