"Premier Oil is looking at possible acquisitions in the North Sea as some of the world’s largest energy groups prepare to scale back their presence in the region.

Tony Durrant, chief executive of Premier, said he expected an uptick in deal activity as the industry emerges from a prolonged downturn. Premier, he said, was “on the buyside” and would look for opportunities to expand its presence in the North Sea."

"U.S. crude oil jumped to its highest level in two weeks after government data showed domestic stockpiles fell last week by 5.8M barrels, nearly 4x more than expected; October WTI +3.1% to settle at $67.86/bbl, Brent +3% at $74.80/bbl."

Meh! We need to be pumping more of it, when that happens the sp will start to reflect the value of AMER. Right now it sucks, just not hard enough to get oil out of the ground.

Yep, glad I sold and took my profits some months back at Stobart. Once this row is sorted out well who knows but right now Stobart is a mess.

My Flybe stake I did take some profits on more recently but continue to hold 10,000 shares as part of a pension pot and do not lose sleep over it! I rate it as an airline and an investment at these prices and expect to see 50p this year based on a good summer programme with good seat occupancy etc.

UBS reiterates Playtech a buy target price 1080p, maybe a bit optimistic but I feel vindicated at having bought in after the drop. In a volatile market at the end of long bull ish run sudden bad news results in an over reaction imo. I remain of the view that the return on capital, profit and dividend payment make this a good long term hold.

Anyone been looking at share price volumes and charts this week? Trend possibly developing over past couple of days and some quite large buys?

Maybe a share re rating for CNE sooner rather than later?

Sheeesh well maybe its early and no one has read the news but 4% a bit slow and two of the buys this morning were from me for two pensions!

Clearly, the market either not aware of COS or not that impressed. Meh! Holding for better times.

And.....possibly for other auto immune conditions. Hence I bought after the drop and hold my stake on the expectation that the drug will get their in the end.

Interesting but there are many multi nationals like Nestle or Shell that are quoted on 3 or more global stock exchanges but they do not have a 50% price difference. I remain concerned about the sp difference between Madrid and London.

Any views on what they might announce?

Hard ones! An 8% drop in sp plus a 15.63% spread suggests this is something other than institutions selling and anyhoo I checked shares trades above when posting. No sign on LSE of large sells this morning.
