I read this and was encouraged for PMGs prospects in the North Sea Oil and Gas game yet the sp here is down 2%?

Off to buy a few more.

I cannot work out why the sp is this low? Sector out of favour, income down perhaps, shorting or concerns that online gaming faces more government pressure etc?

Just topped up with 2000 more shares and content to wait for the next set of results and a dividend.

I expect Colombian oil to be a signifucant supplier and invested here on that basis. If anything at sub 15p and a narrow spread I am tempted to average down.

Fair point remain confident that in the future PMG could be a significant producer of oil but without the debt that dogged PMO!

Funny! But I remain of the view the drop was over done as Summit has cash and a useful product line.

Ignoring the disappointment and drop, if this was just a small pharma developing an antibiotic to fight STDs would we invest? At 36p ish where I bought in recently I would say yes worth a small punt as STDs are a big problem globally and if Summit can develop a new antibiotic they could do very well.

You could be right on the impact of the USA but equally I see the betting industry having a great world cup summer and the change to FOBTs is still some way off.

I do not believe that the takings from FOBTs will cut profits as drastically as some claim below because the stake is £2.

Risks and Rewards....for those willing to do a bit of reading and put some skin in the game.

I remain a fan having bought in and out over the past couple of years but currently on the sidelines. I suspect the Indian court case will drag on and this may impact a little on sp. If you are on board then enjoy the ride and hold imo.

From the FT yesterday, which mean that as exasperating as it is to hold AMER I expect to see it grow in value.

Amin Nasser, chief executive of Saudi Aramco, said rising investment into short-cycle output, which ebbs and flows faster than conventional projects, would not be enough to meet rising crude demand.

“Something like shale oil . . . it is not going to really create a major dent in total global supply requirements up until 2040,” said Mr Nasser in an interview with the Financial Times."

From yesterday some interesting thoughts on supply which convince me to hold and buy on any dips:

The results not all bad and they are sat on cash, if anything I see them as potential bid target from a larger player.

Willing to wait and see for another year as small cap punts volatile and the drop today overdone imo.

Sharecast News) - Mothercare on Monday went cap-in-hand to shareholders in an effort to raise £32.5m through a one-for-one placing and open offer at 19p a share as it revealed it was now shutting 60 shops instead of the 50 originally earmarked.

It added that its Childrens World division was being placed into administration after creditors failed to back a company voluntary arrangement.

"The performance of the group since the start of full year 2018/19 has broadly followed a similar pattern to that seen in the second half of full year 2017/18," the company said.

"Conditions in the UK have remained challenging, with consumer confidence and store footfall remaining under pressure."

The company said sales had fallen 7% in the first 14 weeks of the financial year, with like-for-like sales down 4.6% over the same period.

Remain on the sidelines, believe the Brand a good one. Shops have to go and re financing sorted before I would take a punt. That point is fast approaching imo.

Buy and hold for a few years. The company is making progress and communicating that effectively to shareholders.

I am not convinced CNE is going to just win and get a fat check but hope for all invested that Delhi is willing to make a sensible offer in August. Lets us hope the Courtroom has air conditioning and no power cuts!.

July 9 (Reuters) - Cairn Energy said on Monday it would write down the value of its investment in Vedanta Ltd after Indian tax authorities sold $216 million worth of its shares in the Indian mining company.

Cairn said that it would continue to fight the Indian authorities in an arbitration case over a more than $1 billion retrospective tax bill with final hearings in two weeks.

Cairn said it still holds about 3 percent in Vedanta Ltd after the sale, while warning that it was possible that the Indian tax department might make further sales. (Reporting by Arathy S Nair in Bengaluru; editing by Patrick Graham)
