Yes loads of potential from Chinese battery manufacturers. Their biggest issue items actually the Chinese Government not renewing mining licences, they've done this to correct the Lithium price upwards and it's worked. Chinese battery manufacturers must look outside of China for Lithium or Spodumene Mines in stable countries in order to get round what the Chinese Government is doing. Meanwhile the demand for Lithium is forecast to keep increasing, so Chinese battery manufacturers need to move fast with these acquisitions.
"Key 2030 Targets and Trends: Demand & Capacity: McKinsey predicts battery demand will grow at roughly 27% annually to 4,700 GWh, with EVs accounting for 4,300 GWh. Total manufacturing capacity is expected to exceed 5,500 GWh, with China leading at over 6,000 GWh capacity."
