In my positive world where negative thoughts are only allowed I’ve been thinking about this, and stating the obvious it may be.
I honestly believe covid19 has inadvertently created the perfect storm for Stroll & co.
Business that was not doing well closes down.
Majority of the staff furloughed.
Government loans very cheap rates easily accessible
Government grants available.
Cut the workforce by 500, saving big money.
Etc.
Etc.
They can even claim aid for taking furloughed staff back on.
Problem is they want the DBX out on time, so they restart production at St Alban’s.
So they open St Albans and are on schedule for DBX.
Gaydon remains closed because they don’t want to make any more cars anyway, until they sell the stock already produced, ask yourself why it’s still closed, answer is because they want it to.
You couldn’t make it up how well it’s worked out for them.
This could be easily identifiable as early as wed, it will certainly come into play in the next few months.

Spot on Duster, with the greatest of respect to online traders a lot don’t understand the way mm’s work larger orders.
They drip it out because they can’t just sell a million shares on the market when normal market size is only 1000 shares, otherwise they’d scare the market and not get the price their client wants to achieve, same on the buying side if they started trying to buy a million the price would shoot up.
Hence they work the orders through the day and try not to let the market read there’s a big buyer or seller.
And that’s why the trade is shown after the bell.

I reckon once AML is firmly in recovery mode then they may consider a share consolidation, so for every four you hold you end up with one share, this is normally a good sign as it encourages pension funds etc to take stakes..
Institutional investors don’t like the volatility of shares like AML, therefore consolidation takes that away and helps grow the sp in a steadier fashion.
You often see that with mining co’s etc to take them out the penny share arena.

Possibly the worlds greatest investor only buys and holds for the long term as he advocates trading is the high & lows will always catch you out, by the time you pay the spread & stamp duty, then you might as well sit & hold.
I do add Buffett wouldn’t buy AML because he buys quality stocks for the long term, hopefully one day this is regarded as a quality stock, for now it is in recovery mode.

Well Gaspunter I must have a three quarters of a brain.
3300 yeah I don’t believe in the perfection of day traders.
I just buy as and when I can, I had a look back last night and was really pleased at the levels I bought at in early July I got some crackers in the 40’s, at it’s present price of 50p I’m in the red but 10% away from profit, that is a day in the life of AML.
I don’t believe this share will come off much if at all on Wednesday, and I honestly believe by Friday it will be possibly 25/50% higher than we are today.

Noobz, we all wish that but be happy with what you’ve got, if the price go’s up we wish we had more, if the price go’s down we all wish we’d never started.

Just to add what I meant about ‘perspective’ is most agreed they had averages between 50-60p after averaging down, so with the sp being around 50p we have a brilliant chance of all being in profit by Friday.

Last week I asked if anyone fancies joining me in posting our averages up, I made it abundantly clear I wasn’t asking how many shares they held, that’s their business and you could rightly argue so is their average, but it was a bit of fun to pass the time.
My average Is 56.46p after buying far to high, not selling when I could have bagged a great profit, and then commiting a damn sight more money than I ever intended when we were in the 30-40p range
I even bought some Monday morning when it went over 60p for a nano second.
Anyway it is what it is, but I’m more than happy with my average now, and Tuesday night I’ll be a bit edgy but I’ll be f..... if anyone thinks I’ll bottle it now.
A couple of Nytol tues night and here’s hoping & praying all is well on Wednesday, no pain no gain.

That’s how the eminent Toto Wolff of Mercedes described Aston Martin’s DBX, alongside announcing he was putting almost £40m into taking a stake in the company.
Talk is cheap but not in Toto’s case, let’s hope in a few years it will be proven as wise words & a even wiser investment.

If it took a year to get to a £1, it would be 100% profit from today’s price, although it would be tedious waiting, I’d take that wait all day long, or rather all year long in this case.

I suspect most of us our looking at ‘potential losses’, but it’s not a loss till you sell, you’ve sold could end up being a good decision or bad, but it was your call in both buying & selling.
