Tough week when we all had to decide whether to hold till the results were out or sell prior to safeguard against a big fall, so am pleased I held over and from now on the news should be positive, the obvious worry is covid19.

A few weeks ago the FT leaked the story that Tobias Moers the CEO of Mercedes AMG was taking over as Aston Martin’s CEO, on the Monday morning the shares opened up 20% higher.
You couldn’t ask for a better appointment esp as the Mercedes wing he operated was hugely profitable.
The weekend’s press should carry a couple of interviews and may well lead to another price spike.

This share thing is terse without doubt and we can all using it as a sounding board when we’re losing, but it’s starting to come good so be happy.
Take me & Rox for example, he/she suggested we could trade and come back in and pick up more shares, I advocate a buy & hold, we’ve both been right at different times, and that’s the way the bb should be.

Good, feel like me and you have kept our heads whilst others haven’t, so if this stays up today and hopefully gets over 60p I’ll raise a glass to you this evening.

I think the sp is holding up really well, after 13% rise it’s inevitable there’ll be a few sellers.

Definitely in the next quarters results, yesterday’s were up till June 30th, which obviously covered the full lockdown, as I said yesterday was all about getting the bad news out there.

In the past AML have said that the 25 special edition DB5’s were all ordered, yesterday they reported ‘one sold’.
Although what they stated was true for that accounting period it didn’t reflect ‘orders’ in the pipeline.
The next quarters results would reflect DBX’s sold & orders, as well as other cars such as the DBX.
As the saying go’s ‘its was a good day, to bury bad news’.

I can honestly say I never sold a single share, obviously it gets a bit terse esp Sunday I’d had a few beers and all the posts were downbeat, but yesterday it just got traded between 48-49 and I got confident that the news would be a bit more upbeat than expected.
Although everyone has different targets & agenda’s I can’t Understand why sell today, for the reason the market reacted well.

Anyway delighted it’s gone the right way, I’m hoping for three great days now going into the weekend.
Good thing about such a good rise is it should catch the attention of all the newspapers tmw & hopefully the Sunday papers.

My average is 56.41, it’s been a long time and painful to get my average down to that at one time it was 90p, I’ve had to through much more money in to get it there, but I’m at the stage now whereby it could pay off spectacularly.

All we were looking for is improvement in AM’s position, and there’s glimmers in there, we all know it’s a long haul.
But why anyone who had the nerve to hold yesterday but then sell today I don’t know, I accept some investors are now getting around there averages but I feel there’s a long way to go,,even in the short term.
Because AML is such a strong brand it’s very newsworthy, obviously that means we get kicked hard on bad news, but we can benefit greatly on good news.

Well the accountant why would you take the cash away, the cash is there now and that’s why they raised it, glad your not my accountant, lol.

All news feeds are reporting ‘Aston Martin looks to the future with confidence’.
Think seeing debt down and £350m in the bank gave us some comfort going forward.

Both spoke really well, clear & concise in a way the layman understood, just like their strategy.

If we can hold or improve on the gains made so far today then I think we’ll have a rally till Friday, I wouldn’t sell nor trade for a good few days, as you may not get in at these levels.
Rox, you may have to bite the bullet and either walk away or average up, good luck whatever you do.
I think we’ve seen the back of 50p, with the proviso that there’s not another lockdown.

They’ll all be re-doing the figures now & issuing upgrades & buy notes.
It was nice to see the debt down and cash in the bank, we know that’s mostly because of the fundraising but the main thing is it’s there.

Market is giving its approval to the improvements.
