Makes a great point saying Aston Martin may want to buy back shares in the London market to get them in their partners hands to enhance relationships with the company, for example if stock was bought up and then sold to Daimler it would reduce the stock available in the market and increase the value.

Today’s Mail said Mercedes are caught up in Racing Points cheating storm, it said the most intriguing part of yesterday’s judgement was that Mercedes sent a complete set of Mercedes 2019 brake ducts that arrived on or about Jan 6 2020.
It further says that Mercedes provided RP with computer aided design models for parts that helped build the the racing point car the ‘pink Mercedes’.
Obviously Stroll owns Racing Point, soon to be sponsored by Aston Martin.
It’s clear to see there is big collusion between all parties, as they say the ‘plot thickens’.
It looks like a marriage between Aston Martin & Daimler is on the cards.

Obviously my views are at loggerheads with everyone who shorts the share, I just find the shorters seem desperate and want to shout everyone down and abuse shareholders and the company.
Maybe shorters are more of a cynical ‘glass half empty’ nature, and as they need to close their position at some stage let their desperation show.
Whereas anyone long can be more patient as they own the share and even if it’s going down can suffer it as long as they wish too.
With regard to anyone short they really could have a problem as AML’s sp has risen over 40% in the last month & is gaining momentum all the time.
Even the government have come out and said we’re going into the worst recession in 100years, originally they thought it was going to be the worst recession in 300years, so everything is much better than anticipated(lol).

Shorters must realise they need to cut their losses by now, they should ask themselves ‘do I want to be short over the weekend, with news about to break’.

Rox, I really appreciate your honesty, but you were also giving me the same advice in the 45-50p range, I honestly believe a lot of people don’t appreciate how big the spread is in % terms, often 5% each side of the trade.
I am trying to master the art of doing nothing, swapping & changing is expensive.

Darren, that’s the sensible thing to do, but buying AML right through the lockdown was not ‘deemed’ to be sensible, and I ain’t going to start being sensible now.

Now comes the hard part, do you sell & bag profit, which is always advisable, or stay in & often see a potential profit disappear.
Personally I think there’s a long way to go & would be sick if I sold and it jumped up, we have took the big gamble through lockdown & the potential of bankruptcy, now that the immediate fear of either has subsided then I think our gamble is maturing into a investment, aren’t we posh!

If the sp gets over 70p then I’m shutting up shop, and going to celebrate with a bender.
