Stroll has to play within much stricter rules in a public limited co and he has brought two private companies into the public domain, and successfully too making shareholders fortunes and obviously himself at the same time.
The more successful he makes AM the more he can indulge his passion in racing, and that is his reason for being here, a win, win situation.

Rox, I don’t get the logic of buying shares in a co were you don’t trust the owner,,you do seem to swing in your thoughts and trading.
Say he is a ruthless operator well surely you want a commanding leader at the helm.

I do believe Palmer had some reservations about the helicopter, he couldn’t quite grasp the idea of no ejector seat.
Can you imagine they all sitting in a serious board meeting and who the f... brings up the great idea, ‘let’s make submarines’, he/she should of been sacked on the spot.

On Palmers watch he was letting the r & d team get involved in all the above projects whilst the car division was starting to struggle.
Alongside this he started making replica cars of past models.
As well as sourcing land,, negotiating with the Welsh government for funding, building a new factory, fitting out the factory with machinery etc.
Is it any wonder AML got into trouble.
These days you can’t buy a new settee from stock, everything is made to order, never mind having £150,000 cars in stock, what planet was he on.
Stroll has an easier job than you could imagine.

Sell all the stock, and build to order and stick to your core business, as he said ‘making beautiful sports cars’.
Figures may well surprise to the upside because when there’s that much wrong & obviously wrong, then clever people address the simple and common sense things.

I honestly don’t think there would be a further fundraising, but they did say they were looking at all avenues with regard to money.
I was raising the possibility though if the sp doubled then a bit further down the line they could see it as a way of wiping the debt out completely.
The sp going up is good for the holder of the share but not necessarily the company.
Just to add that If AML’s board consider that the sp was good value they can buy back shares in the market as they could either cancel the shares, which would be great or hold them in treasury to incentivise staff or offer as part of a package to incoming senior staff/directors.
Interestingly enough they recently announced they currently hold no stock in treasury, which is unusual for the reasons I’ve stated previously.

I’m sticking by my 50p by close today.

I believe it’s being kept just below the placing price of 50p which i think indicates good news, or better than the market expectations.
I think if it was bad news they’d run the price whilst offloading a bit of stock, I think the company would be happy for the sp to trade between 80-100p after tomorrow this would allow them to ‘possibly’ do another fundraising at say 75p.
That’s not the worst thing in the world, they wouldn’t be able to do another placing at 50p and if the sp was over inflated or the market didn’t think the value was there they wouldn’t get a higher price.
Dilution is fine as long as the company can show the strategy is working.

I’ve got a mate who is a bit of a Tom Pepper and his way is ‘if a story’s worth tellling, then it’s worth exaggerating’.

I’m convinced it will more or less finish on the placing price of 50p, Stroll got his investors on board at that price and we had time to buy further shares at below 50p.
I think it will show a degree of control but it avoids any criticism if it rockets from there.

I’m playing Devils Advocate now, everyone who is positive on the company says they’ve averaged down, did you average down because you believed the great AML story?
Or did you average down to dig yourself out the mire?
I defo had to dig my self out the mire after buying in too high, but then when it dropped & dropped it gave me that opportunity, and we all love a nice ending to a British love story.

By the end of play tmw we are sitting bang on the placing price of 50p, seems as if the sp was getting conSTROLLed in a very tight trading range today, 50p would be a good place to be and then let the market judge the results and any forward guidance Stroll will give.

In normal circumstances perhaps not, but markets have certainly overreacted at times, so three days of rises could take us there if good progress has been made.
Even a slight decline on Wed would show the market has taken the results well.
When it was announced Moers was joining from Mercedes the price went up 20%.
If the price went up to a £1 would the mkt accept a further fundraising and dilution at 75p, I wouldn’t want it in a improving situation it would be acceptable.

Richard, that would only cover registrations in this country, Stroll said they had sold over 619 till May.
Wednesday could spring a bit of surprise to the upside in all depts.
