Yeah the quicker they’ve gone the better, it could be getting held up while they sell, but with the millions they’re selling it definitely ain’t going up. Perhaps, and it would make sense, that we are not going to release any news until they’re gone.
If invest IndustrialInvestor are still selling, which we must assume they are as they’ve sold 17% to date,, then the most important thing is high volume which allows them to get rid of the other 4%. Another good thing is when they sell another 1% they are below the 3% threshold whereby they have to inform the market, at least then no one is spooked by the announcement.
I’m sure these c.... know my average, it’s dancing round it red, green, red, green, lol. It would be good if LSE used emojis, might take some strained relationships off the board, as we know when someone’s joking.
Obviously the main thing is we don’t go down, we’ve all had enough buying opportunities, a finish anywhere above 60p would be fantastic. It’s about time the shorters suffered.
Look everyone we don’t know why IInvestors have been selling, it is possibly even tax related, say they had made big gains elsewhere and they looked at the massive loss on their investment on AML it would be prudent to take the hit and offset the tax, that’s what a accountant would suggest. But we don’t know why and as I said to 3300 earlier the damage is already done as they’re down to 4% from 21%. That’s enormous selling pressure and no share could sustain a rise against that. The important thing is none of the ‘new firm’ has announced they’re selling stock, only a month or so ago Stroll’s ‘newbies’ committed ‘another’ 190m to the cause. Fear not with every passing day the economy is improving.
NickyG, in fairness they have already been diluted twice by Stroll, they may have been invited to participate but declined and you couldn’t blame them, they may have seen it as throwing good money after bad. Our averages are 56p ish imagine if you had bought at £19
The loan date will be the date the stock needs returning or they pay for it, when it shorted they have a settlement date they can’t just let the short run for ever, that’s what causes the bounce they have to buy to close.
Don’t sell at some point shorters have to buy to close & it can cause a massive bounce, also we don’t know for certain, this is when it would be better using a traditional broker to advise us.
One thing that doesn’t seem to be mentioned so far, and I’ve certainly only just noticed this in the RNS of Friday is that under B.1 Financial instruments it describes the reduction in the shares held as a stock loan. This implies it’s IndustrialInvestor who are loaning the stock to the short brigade. I don’t know what to make of it, but it certainly seems like they’re playing both ends against the middle, they are Italians though, and that’s not being racist or is it?
If we all met up it could get a bit unruly, besides it’s not a dating site. I have a vision of WG turning up about 5ft 5, handlebar moustache with curly ends, in a biggles flying jacket.
Hayman, I don’t know the timescale in which they would have to ‘further notify’, as they have already got a notifiable stake of 5%. I would assume if it’s part of a current purchasing programme they would inform the market when they had finished their buying, they’re not going to announce every other day they’ve increased their stake for obvious reasons. The Company doing their purchasing would have signed strict confidentiality clauses, or could be done through various co’s or solicitors.
Also Andy Cowell who was one of Mercedes top engineers has just turned down Ferrari, well he ain’t going to Nissan is he. Most of what I’m posting has been tossed around the board previously, but that doesn’t make it less true. Even the silence from AML/Stroll/Moers convinces me the blueprint is ready, and the master plan is soon to be revealed.
But the buyer hasn’t yet appeared, industrialinvest have reduced by 17% in the last few months, BUT WHO IS THE BUYER? All roads lead to Daimler as they already have a 5% stake, and trade agreements in place. They let one of their top men Tobias Moers leave and join a rival without a whimper. The obvious question is they could have bought the stake direct from IndustrialInvest(???), but that may have leaked out and made the price too high as a frenzy would hit the market. I’ll bet my bottom dollar a announcement will come out soon and my money is on Daimler.
