There is no chance of taking this private, why would they when they can raise money in the markets, within 2 hours of the last rights issue they raised 192m.
Obviously that did mean dilution but the £192m helped secure the future of the co, so it was worth the swap.

If he did another share dilution he would have to put more money alongside his consortium, if they didn’t he’d be shafting his own consortium, and the money would go into AM’s coffers.
If he wanted the company for himself why bring Wolff in for 40m, are you saying he would ‘pick & choose’ who still had a piece of the new pie, corruption.
If he wanted the co for himself he could have put it into administration with a pre-packaged deal to buy it back, but the Geely may step in & spoil the party by starting a bidding war.
Here’s why it’s such a no-no taking it private, it would probably cost say 2bn with costs.
So Stroll go’s to the bankers and they would ask him & his family to list all security available, houses, trust funds, everything.
That means he would be putting everything at risk, rich people ringfence assets, making sure if one business go’s wrong it doesn’t take everything with it, that’s why they’re rich.
As a small example you wouldn’t get a millionaire to buy a million pounds worth of AM shares, us wanna be millionaires take big risks, proper ones would look at AM shares and probably think a 25k stake is all it’s worth risking.
I believe Stroll can achieve all his worldly ambitions in AML and protect his assets at the same time, the only thing at stake is his investment & reputation, he ain’t risking everything by taking it private.

Tinypie, I’ve never seen that he’s sold his shares in Mercedes but what is interesting is that Wolff recently stated that Vettel should buy Aston Martin because he believes you should have ‘skin in the game’, I normally describe it as the ‘owners eye’, in other words if you own something you will work harder to make your investment work.
So Wolf selling his stake has by his own words taken his ‘skin out of the game’, with regards to Mercedes, and as he is invested in Aston Martin his ‘skin is certainly, in our game’.
It looks to me he could invest his money in Racing Point, soon to be relabelled AML F1, and Racing Point could be completely taken over by Aston Martin as opposed to just being it’s main sponsor.
Stroll, Moers, Wolff would be quite a formidable trio heading Aston Martin & Aston Martin F1.
Ultimately Hamilton could be the final piece in a fascinating jigsaw.

The only good thing I gauge from the sp dropping all the time is it’s allowed me to constantly average down out of any mistakes made buying much higher, I probably have 3/4 x more AML shares than I ever wanted or set out to buy, of course averaging down only works if it eventually goes up.
I’m still confident but frustrated like everyone else.

Fact, the second wave is barely a ripple.
Fact, confirmed cases for Sept below 10,000, projected 50,000.
Fact, Covid cases far lower than flu & pneumonia.
Fact, deaths in Europe only rising slowly.
Fact, cases are levelling off.
So my stance is stand firm and don’t sell because once the government accept ‘facts’ the markets will have a ‘mother of all rally’s’, if not the bad news is mostly priced in.
