Rolls Royce has gone up 95% in a week and although they have a few more ‘strings to their bow’ it’s only a few weeks since they were in need of a government rescue package.

There is a definite low profile being kept at Aston Martin otherwise the pr team would be all over the Vettel story like ‘a rash’.

David, a lot of the larger transactions are not shown till the end of the day and as they just use the mid price as a indicator is hard to say what some trades are, anything above the mid price gets marked as a buy, below is marked as a sell, as they are shown hours later it’s not quite clear what they are.

Andi, Vettel’s buying is certainly counteracting IInvestors selling, having such a large seller is certainly going to make it difficult for the price to shoot up, but equally Vettel is stopping it falling which won’t suit the shorters.

Sheltie, accept what you say in the long term, but the fact is that Vettel has been buying millions of shares and the price stayed down, you’d think as a minimum investment he would have put £5m into shares.

3300, I thought it was 7am-7pm, anyway it can only be perceived as good news, and hopefully the Germans start buying the stock, it all makes up the mkt cap.
Say for example things were not great at AM or certainly not showing improvement then Stroll would have advised Vettel ‘off the record’ that ‘maybe’ now is not the right time to buy some shares.
I think it positively rules out privatisation, Stroll couldn’t do that but then show favour to certain investors.

Well at least it proves one thing, WE WERE ALL RIGHT.
Even through the infighting squabbling etc, we have all maintain that there was manipulation of some kind going on, we have debated different reasons as to why.
Then it comes out Vettel who Paul Oz maintains is very tight has been buying shares but the price has hardly moved.
It can only be good news as when Stroll has been negotiating Vettel’s contract he will certainly recommended him to ‘have a look at buying some shares’, and it must have complied with the rules of F1 for him to have done so.

Brilliant news, he must have bought a good few million quids worth.
Hopefully it will open up a bit higher in the morning and it means he’ll work even harder as Toto said and c2645 mentions ‘skin in the game’.

Cheers Enorex so as soon as they're delivered they’re paid for & demo’s are always high spec, so even stocking the dealerships brings immediate cashflow.

Crank & others, AML couldn't possibly build hundreds of demo cars to send to the dealerships without payment otherwise it would cripple then, the dealerships must have to purchase the cars for which to take orders off, they may get it hugely discounted or a finance company stands in the middle to facilitate both parties.
You often see things like ‘Mercedes Benz Finance’ and it may not actually be MB but a outside finance co badged up as MB(thats a example, obviously MB might be big enough to finance their own stock).

Charlotte Cowley stated in her email to me that InvestIndustrial are selling there shareholding in Aston Martin as they are winding closing their fund.
So they must have a date that the fund is closing.
If it was me running AML i would try & do a deal to buy the remaining stock.
Now heres the crux, say you couldnt agree on a price for the stock or you simply didnt want the stock.
What would you do?
The obvious answer knowing their closing the fund would be?
I’d play them for time, as they get closer to the closure of the fund they are going to be distressed sellers open to a bid for the lot.
Or their holding becomes less significant as its been reduced greatly, why woukd AML let them have the benefit of a stronger price given InvestIndustrial backed the Geely deal over Stroll’s consortium.
AML are playing them for time and time II havent got.
There is little known fact in what ive said its all in the interests of a good conspiracy theory.

The more i see of this share the more im convinced that there is something happening of signifcance, i may be delusional, but im utterly convinced, we are in a improving marketplace, luxury goods sector flying, and still it remains at 50p, if there was more bad news to come it would be 25p.
As frustrated as i am, i swear im not selling till after the results, and probably wont sell then.

Nicky, I’m glad Rox has made money but he was the one laughing off his losses, that’s his business but if he puts it up then we’re allowed to respond, he has a good sense of humour, but he can dish it out when he feels like, he can also take a bit of stick back, and that’s the sign of a man in my opinion.
Rox, most of us are losing big money on AML I am in % terms, but another 5p on the share price makes everything right and we know that can be achieved on a good day, obviously if it dropped another 5p it’s a real sickner.
