He/she does have a point actually which I mentioned in passing some time ago. I just put it down to a lapse in judgement going to circle because I think he was actively involved with the Erskine acquisition etc (and managing this) so full credit there?!
He may have left because he was itchy for TCW job. He may have gone to get fuller experience of running a company with a gentleman's agreement to return. He may have left simply because he thought there was more potential at circle (would be concerned if this was the case because this would show (potentially) a lapse of judgement ).
Taking all that into account I personally do not attribute too high a risk at this juncture, to this appointment but, can see why the chap may bring it up, especially if they lost money in circle?
