I've got similar amounts but not at your cheap prices (just too bloody greedy waiting for price to drop, lol). I ain't sold a penny yet as am hopeful we've still got another 50% upside this year and to be quite honest feel it is as safe here as any other place at the moment!

I think most people in the industry forecast oil to be around $60 bbl at end of 2017. I got that wrong I thought less, however seemed to be in minority as a lot of people in HO enjoy pointing out to me!! However even at $60 bbl or as low as $54 bbl I couldn't see value in the farm out. But wtfdik?! All imho. 're fencing no idea why 'they' followed that strategy? I hope not because they saw this as a back door way for short cut because, they have lost that bet now but at thecsame time as far as i can see it's certainly not a deal breaker, so think recent share price weakness is simply 'small investor fatigue'. The problem with this is that sometimes this is an 'emotional' break point and smallies have simply lost their faith. If it continues 'mgt' will have difficulty justifying their positions for much longer. Again all imho of course.

Plus cash plus Columbus plus row plus potential upside on bkr rhum well. Plus tax losses to offset against all of those profits!

They should absolutely do so. It was a ridiculous deal and part of their much publicised BD / commercial work and I assume pfmce delivery for internal kpi's. I haven't really looked on website and just skimmed it recently but didn't see any reference to 'world class' on there but if there is, that really is amusing. All imho and dyor of course.

Gibbers me old mucker you appeared to be implying that as a result of Brexit gas supply costs would go up. However there will be an abundance of lng coming on stream worldwide in 2020 which will potentially result in lower worldwide gas prices depending on specific markets and their respective evolution. It doesnt cost much to 're commision such facilities and this will happen if 'Europe' holds the UK to ransom. However I have yet to see any evidence of such a scenario anyway. Non arsey question, can you post some up here? (Or (heavrn forbid)are you just a remoaner!?). I have no strong opinion on Brexit by the way!

Chris I think Morocco is dead but Irish assets could still be goers? That's frontier exploration for you. I agree 're comments about co-operation between oil companies and these certainly do exist between certain big players but only where mutually beneficial to both (!) and equally I know of quite large oilers that simply do not work with one another which has held up certain projects progress in the past. However there are a lot of companies in n sea now whose raison d'etre is to commercialise the smaller and potentially more marginal fields. Hence I personally am more confident of Columbus making more progress in the next year than in the previous few years!! All imho of course! Either way you takes your bets and make or lose your money! Tommy why? Do you think the eog mgt are adding value!?! I've been saying this for a long time and about 2 month's ago finally felt Hugh had about 6 month's left to prove this team are worthy of their positions. Why can I not continue to emphasise this as they do not seem to think this is the case, looking at the web site? Surely I am entitled to my opinion and to mention this when I like? I'm sure its significantly less times than the mgt have asked us investors to await Irish updates?! Gibbers of course we're not doomed. Hugh' s going to land us an incredible Irish farm out. It's a sure thing with this experienced management team who have produced so much value since they started.

No problem at all and please not investment advice and I'm sure you've done all your own research but I genuinely cannot find any e&p' s that are as appealing / compelling as sqz is at the moment!! My next choice (if pushed) would be iog / trin but each have their own risks and I think sqz looks better bet (in my portfolio (ahem lol!) anyway!). Hi Chris, some quite strong convictions there. Do you mind providing some justifications behind these? For sure Columbus production is some time away but (fid will push up price for sure) and hopefully with Row (which you didn't mention at all?) will replace the reduced production profiles when the bkr assets decline?! Potentially just the spudding or anticipation of Row will drive the share price a little? Why do you think the Irish prospects are 'dead ducks'? Admittedly unlikely but I think potentially more valuable than Namibia?

Crashcut, I hear what you're saying 're hint but taking on board the results of bod to date do you really suggest going beyond NWE?! Sorry to hear regarding your value of investment now? versus buying a ppty and sitting on bum strategy! As another poster mentioned, oh for some hindsight!!

Tovoc, I whole heartedly agree the situation today is very sad however if indeed BP walked from holmwood 20 years ago surely there may be a lesson learnt there? Surely that was something that edr or eog should have had high up on their risk register hence surely the bod should be held accountable for the decision(s) that they have made? Following your train of thought, surely again eog bod supporters be saying it wasn't their 'fault' for no value adding farm ins in Ireland (except Cairn but juries out on what they find) because the other oil companies couldnt see what Hughie et al can see?! I didnt refer to the Kosmos work as value adding because, after all the massive big oil industry interest they don't seem to 'see' what our bod 'see'. I haven't a clue of course and all imho but, a counter commentary to stimulate discussion?

Tacuma you explained in slightly more polite words than me correct observations (imho!) with regard to transfer of operatorship for Wressle! However to say we should be looking at other opportunities beyond NWE with the 'experience' of the last 6 years of leadership exhibited by this 'management' is (shall we say) where we depart agreement!! The 'management' here do not seem to have exhibited any pro activity with regard to JOINT venture partners. Based upon this perhaps overly simplistic (personal) observation then to put this crowd in with some of the sharks that swim in the International waters could only be described as cruel - both to them and share holders!! Are you a masochist ??!! Once again said in jest (but with really serious points!) and all imho plus dyor of course!!
