Blimey o Reilly. It's ok though, this will allow the 'mgt' to concentrate more on their Irish assets farm outs which I'm sure are just about to crystallise in a big way. Plus they can issue even lower options next year because they're doing such a good job. Before anyone says 'it's not their fault they werent the operator' they still have a responsibility as a pro active partner to try to advise and guide where appropriate? All imho of course. Tacuma you are right and I apologise. I had great hopes for eog when Paul was there and didn't 'like' how he left. I personally think this 'feeling' has been proven correct and other bod didn't appreciate him and partner! Hence begrudgingly held on to my shares in eog giving Hugh et al a chance because the assets seemed robust and here we are, God knows how many years later, with nil return. That is absolutely my fault however I am still upset that I allowed myself to be sold in the jam tomorrow argument!! I am like yourself though, having some slight confidence that eventually we will see good return but probably different from you, my feeling is this will be in spite of mgt not because of and, simply out of luck ie even a broken watch lands the right time twice a day!! Well the one that technically you are more likely to be successful on? 10 billion billion with no chance of success versus 100 million versus 20% chance? If I didnt didn't have money to burn and didnt wanted a low chance/probability prospect to be included in my well inventory in line with company risk guidelines I know which one I'd choose! Let's see if these prospects get drilled in the next few years as well anyway! Are there any commitment wells included in these pvr deals? All imho of course!!

Tacuma I'll leave proper analytical comments to when these possible deals crystallise however suffice to say they cannot (imho) be as operator because the 'team' have proven themselves as next to useless with regard to operating assets in the last five years. If they are for real progressing assets as partners, then they will still need cash regardless of any possible Ireland assets swaps to get them access to new assets, as this surely is the only way to achieve this? If they are for further promote type assets then shareholders need to be asking them how have similar type deals have added shareholder value before?! (Lol!). All imho of course and methinks any further asset work will be too much for this world class team as surely they still have plenty of work to deliver in their current portfolio before stretching themselves further? A cynic may say that this small company is dreaming / (or worse diverting attention) way beyond reality! Once again all imho of course and please dyor!!

Rudey, apologies if I am being obtuse but what is your point? ('re are people so blind here?). I always assumed you to be an avid '(eog) management' (ahem) supporter here? I would again infer the eog assets are not quite as Hugh has 'sold' them to eog 'investors' and again the market has spoken? I have no idea but can only assume Total were in the eog datarooms (part of the 'big company' interest)? Here's hoping a big Total deal in the new year?! (Lol!). Again as ever all imho and dyor etc etc.

Definitely last point NTKOB. I am 100 % with you matey. Got far too large a proportion of my 'portfolio' in this and am well happy to hold for at least another 1.8 years. Hoping will still be aim and hoping cgt will still be at 10% for 2+ year holds. GLA!

Last point not that it will be relevant this us nis a completely free well it will have some form of cost cap which it is very unlikely to come close to! Best of luck all.

I think the GS report is about their North Africa Near East team but could have been about their N sea team though as not sure they cover all the assets in that manner. ENI Africa at the moment probably have the best explorationntrack record in the industry? On reflection you are of course right but as I've already got 50p per share marked against that 'discovery' so am nervous if it doesnt come in!! All imho of course!!

Fair comments GG. I just think things are improving a little for the service companies. Our opinions are slightly different but not too far apart! I just know, as soon as a 'glimmer' of more work elsewhere and, the service companies will forget about their 'more generous' deals very very quickly!!

Oil is future. Great statement and I could not improve on it except for a couple of little things. You could have mentioned about the 2p reserves decline but dressed it up by stating that at least there hadn't been (many) placings and that the 'management' had taken some pay cuts (because their model is not sustainable but don't mention that) which of course meant they had to issue significantly lower (than previously issued) options to 'compensate' them for their lower salaries !! Then I think we've covered most of it now?! All imho of course!!

Yes. I posted a competition over on in adv to see who can write next years agm statement. Mine being the first (and probably last entry!) I suggested I copy out this years statement and add a 1 to all year figures quoted. Seriiysky though to be honest, last year's AGM statement wasn't that different from this years!!

I dont know Mes but I took confidence from the presentation today that since the public proposal JV partners had been engaged? I assume this would definitely have been a question in the egm hence if anyone went can they provide any guudabce? Thought we see 80p broken today but may be not now ?!
