Steve that estimate is for the whole year ?! If the repair takes one month then the 'loss' is likely to be 2.5%?! Considering how strong oil price currently is such a 'loss' coukdceasily disappear by mid year?! Imho of course.

Tac agree!! Didn't expect the directors to be liaising with planners. Of course not. Pay third party sme's for that but, do proper qa/qc of their work and ask questions especially bearing in I'm d lessons learned 'elsewhere'. However wouldn't do any harm for the directors to be directly involved with local pr etc.? Also support your view that the directors should be do'ers and not all strategy etc.! Pp wasn't suggesting a production director or senior manager which is business model I have often come across. I was suggesting that 'someone' took responsibility for keeping an eye on this and made sure 'techs/g&g's' didn't lose sight of this. I have come across a lot of g&g's who 'fall in love' with the concept and continually push for their 'pet' projects. I 'had' to respond to the below posts so my 2 week sojourn starts today now! Having 're read my message I realise my main message didn't come through. If a tech. is in charge make sure they haven't fallen in love with the tech. stuff ignoring risks of non diversification and having a hands on admin. person who can keep the tech in check (!) making sure there is good visibility of increasing cash flows and keeping an eye on the 'non tech.' risk registers? Not sure this is or isn't happening at eog but that's how I'd set things up?! Right that's me done and sorry for boring everyone! I promise to not post for at least 2 weeks!! Actually guys I disagree a bit. It is usually finance / compliance / risk which should be asking who the f' are these nimbies and how organised are they? Ie never under estimate your 'opponent', give them the respect they deserve and make sure we are whiter than white with regard to all our actions? I have no idea about the structure of the senior mgt (often in companies this size the mgrs are often the do'ers as well) and hence if there are some non do'ers for a company this size we need to be asking why? I'd have a senior reporting accountant/fc for all the boring finance stuff and a cfo/fd type who has worked his way through the ranks (as opposed to the banks) and having enough sway for input onto the (from what I can gather) run of the mill bd/commercial agreements and also enough clout to be able to question strategy, saying stuff like 'Ireland ain't quite selling as we expected' so let's make sure we land production increase in our current portfolio and this will give us greater flexibility and proven experience to farm in/promote elsewhere'? I don't know if u guys remember Brent Spar but that was an example (imho) of Shell underestimating Greenpeace and they had to follow through with probably the most risky, with regard to pollution and expense, 'solution' because they underestimated their 'opponent's'?! One again all heavily caveated with being my opinion only and always dyor and of course best of luck all!!

Pp I have already said in another earlier post that I take total blame for my own decisions (which you appear to have missed). What I got wrong was my impressions of eog mgt. I certainly wouldnt dream of investing in the other ensemble you mentioned lol!! I did think however the 'mgt' of eog would have pro actively influenced partners and subsequently operators, with regard to jv direction. This is normal e&p business practise. Anyway as I say pocket money for me but not necessarily for others therefore, it is always useful to have different povs on here and to make sure lessons are learned!! (Shame the partners and eog don't seem to, because collectively across all their ventures every mistake seems to have been made without transfer of lessons learned!) All imho of course and please dyor all!!

Well if they don't increase profiles this year then they really shouldn't be there!! To be honest the writing has been on the wall for a long time (imho) but such is the level of mis management (imho) I couldn't really believe what was happening and figured the UK onshore was being really worked on (pro-actively) behind the scenes ? It really has been a very slow motion car crash and IF (hopefully a very big if) no production increase the 'accident damage' was even larger than I thought. I didn't really expect much from Ireland (ie they would have to be very lucky to out wit or out time big oil but these smallies sometimes do make new find / big plays ahead of the pack) but was very hopeful for Wressle and Holmwood. Anyway all imho and here's hoping for 16/20 positive news as well as same for UK onshore!! Best of luck all!

Hi mommur, I realise a profit is a profit especially at some of the prices you likely paid but I'm not even thinking of taking any profits (got to put (small) deposit down on flat for gf around may june and don't want to spend more than 5% of my sqz shares!) until at least after Columbus fid. Hopefully we may see some further upward price movement with published production profiles and forecast prior to this as well?! Here's hoping further price strength next week. Best of luck all!

Zedy what are you tallking about price ppredictions pointless? Of course they're not. We each have our own predictions and will review from time to time when certain circumstances have crystallised. When the vagaries of the market are out of kilter with our own predictions we may choose to sell because either the market is valuing substantially higher then ones own value hence take a profit, expecting it to rebase more back in line with ones own predictions or, if the market does not 'recognise' the 'value' one attributes, then sell, to place elsewhere and hopefully there is more chance of achieving profits? If yiu have no bar ti ckmoare hiw the market values when do decide to sell or buy, lol!

Guys totally agree but the deal still has to go through etc so whilst I have every confidence it will the 'market'will still apply some transactional risk yo thus. For what it's worth (lol!) I would expect the share price to be around 1.1 to 1.15 if we get a positive operations report with good clear look aheads which will give the 'market' a chance to better value the company. Then hopefully we have Columbus (wouldn't it be great if they had acquired more interest plus fid?) Then further confirmation about Row etc. with a firm well date etc. ?!

Agree though there is only one direction thus share price is headed exceot for the odd blips when people take profits.
