PPC are 12th on the Risers board today, with ATOM in 3rd place. How nice is that?
BOOOOM! Up 24% today! What a nice share. Can we have the Outhere Brothers back in the room?
It feels a long time since I could write "BOOOOM" about one of my investments. Long may it continue.....
£1.27 paid. Here we go.......
There's something going on here..... big news coming soon maybe....?
It's nice to have a share that keeps on going up! I reckon Green energy will be this decades dot.com bubble so I'm happy to be invested in it.
From the look of his profile Daniel Musri should be exactly what the Argentine PPC needs. A review of all operations and then maximising returns is not something that happens overnight though. He was appointed on 1st March, so we probably need to give him this year and 2023 to see if he can make a difference
All the tiny trades, of 1,2,3,4,5 shares etc have been common here since the IPO go-live at the end of December. I've asked about them before (on this board) and got no response. It makes no sense to me, but that's true of many market movements and sometimes even life in general.....
£1 paid. Nice. Onwards and upwards we go....
I agree completely that PPC is significantly undervalued. Unfortunately however, there is guarantee that PPC won't still be undervalued in six months or even six or sixty years time.
I'm hoping that some production increases in May will pick up the SP a bit, and then really I'm praying that the 17% chance of success in Paraguay is actually a big success.
Agreed Steven49. Nice to see the SP increasing. Maybe a news update soon.
Think we might do well to hold this share for a few years, once it gets into production in Paraguay & Iceland then things could really take-off....
Lots of questions there Brasso. Re: Argentine production, reading the RNS it sounds like there should be a significant uplift in May, so maybe we'll get the numbers then?
Salta DP2001/2003 are still in testing(!?) to find their optimal levels, but are both are already making solid contributions to Salta oil production. My reading of this- both are less than the 250BOPD that was aimed for but PPC are still working to increase flow rates here.
PG13-1 looks like proving to be a sound commercially producing oil well which will, all being well, be on stream before the end of May.
PE-8 has now been worked over and cleaned of accumulated sand, Swab results showed oil and gas production. The well is now being placed on production also for May.
So that's four new wells producing oil in Argentina. That could be anywhere between 500 extra BOPD to 1000 extra BOPD. I've contacted President before about confirming production numbers and the answer about these right now would be that due to fluctuations there is no point publishing BOPD figures until the wells have stabilized.
Still if I was running PPC, I would publish the Quarterly figures. Us investors are calling out for them. If you want the SP to go up you need to listen to Shareholders! Still, at least May's numbers should be a good improvement.....
Northern- Agree totally. To change the change of success from 30%+ down to only 17% is very disappointing. To have not provided any explanation for this revised figure is insulting, and to push the proposed spud date back from H1 2022 to Q4 was expected but still disappointing.
Maybe it's a 50% chance of success, with PPC having three bites of the cherry. Three exploratory wells each one with 17% chance = a 51% chance that one of them will strike oil?
I disappointed with the progress made in Paraguay, but I'm not selling at these prices so will continue to hold and hope that somehow, by hook or by crook PPC manage to make a success of Paraguay
That is a huge amount of gas in place. That the Martinez del Tineo gas farm out process is now being re-activated is potentially a good thing. I.e. If they find a farm-out partner who takes it on and if they then successfully find commercial gas then that will be very good indeed. A couple of big 'ifs' there, but it could work.....
If this is what a full news packed RNS can do for the Share Price, then perhaps we were overly critical of the 'RNS Blackout!'
C'mon peeps, let's play nicely. It's perfectly okay to be disappointed with PPC's comms and performance over the years and not give them the benefit of the doubt, but of course the contrarian view is also perfectly okay; that PPC have so many irons in the fire at the moment, surely (don't call me Shirley) one of them will come good and the SP will rise significantly soon..... (hopefully)
In most films, stories etc, don't things usually get really really bad before they turn it around? Like AFC Bournemouth starting the season in league 2 on -17 points back 13 or 14 years ago, then hiring Eddie Howe just staying up and then going on a run that took us to the Premiership. Thinking about it more clearly now, the only sensible thing for us PPC Shareholders to do is sack PL, and hire Eddie Howe! Then it'll be game on....
Thanks for sharing that Jim.
Interesting about doing "regularly spaced updates" rather than the " frequent updates" they have been giving(!). An update due by the end of April. That's later than I was expecting. If by more substantial updates, they mean they will bundle up Arg, US & Paraguay into one RNS, I am not happy about that. I would rather see each work stream having it's own RNSs
Still, as long as it's good news, I'll be happy....
I think if the 1st two wells flow rates were better than expected then PPC would probably have released this information. The 3rd well, maybe it didn't succeed, due to technical or human error so needs adjusting and another go to be able to access the oil, so PPC are waiting for to release the RNS until they can say it has worked.
Completely guessing here of course, and that's another thing that's frustrating. I've invested in a company and have to guess about it's performance! Still, at least until it's confirmed either way it could be either bad or good news.....
We're overdue news:
1- flow rates from the 2nd Salta well
2- an update on the PG well drilling
3- Paraguay- this is scheduled for H1 this year, it's now Q2 and no news, so the timelines must have slipped a bit
Just please can we it all be good news..... even some production figures and sells prices for March would be nice.....
Pinch punch 1st of the month and we're still waiting....
We are overdue an RNS on the PG drilling.
Plus, March must have been the highest production figures possibly ever, with the highest prices received again possibly ever. If I ran an oil company with a struggling SP, and had just produced the most ever and sold them for the highest prices I would be shouting it to the market
Many many years ago in my 1st job, my manager surprised me by telling me that my performance review was 50% on how well I worked and 50% on how well my work was perceived to be. Somebody needs to explain to PPC that there's no point doing a good job if they don't shout about it. Of course if you're doing a bad job then maybe better to keep quiet.Oh.......
Whatever it is PPC are doing it was supposed to take aprox 21 days starting on 1st, 2nd 3rd or 4th March. Today is 1st April, 28 days after 4th March, so I think we can reasonably expect some news soon.
Perhaps a good news story from PPC on 1st April would be PL's idea of a joke? ;-)
