RE: Looking good for a move much higher over the weeks and months ahead.13 Feb 2023 09:33
Unfortunately I agree with most of Ecclescake's post, and to be fair there's a lot more disappointments, frustrations and bad news stories that we could recall from the last 10 years. To add my own quick review: in the last 10 years MEN (formally PPC) has gone from producing 250BOPD to 2500BOPD plus now also gas. Each year, us PI's have been given the message that this will be a transformational year, that this year the company will strike big and the SP will rocket. There have been drills, workovers, new acquisitions, last year a rebranding and spin-off companies and the SP has plummeted.
However that is a review of past performance. Looking forward, PortfolioPower is right to say that even with, "an exceptionally modest PE of 2 this could be 350- 400p+" Based on production, turn-over, EBITDA, this SP is significantly undervalued. But due to it's history of failures, the market probably needs to see significant and sustained performance improvement before it's reflected in the SP.
I really think the bottom has been reached, and there's a long road up. But I've thought that before and been wrong so fingers crossed this time it can work....
