That's not right BG, I'm afraid you can't take one sentence and judge it from that alone. The whole document has to be read and absorbed. There are many pieces that cross reference without obvious direct link but reasonable assurance has been that it will arrive before the completion date.

My own personal view is that it is pretty much a forgone conclusion but it will not come until after the shareholders have accepted the farm-out. The ministry at that point will have the assurance that we have the financial backing and clout to carry out the required work programmes and will therefore move on it quite quickly after that.

Though I very much doubt it will be done this quickly, it could be done and dusted during the weekend following the EGM. With rig and contractor already decided and likely prepared to mobilise on confirmation, the Zubairs committed to spudding as soon as practically possible! As said yesterday, the rig could be on the road to site within days and at that point it is all related to weather conditions regards spud date. I still don't expect spud before April as I think it has been indicated somewhere Q2 but can't remember where I saw that.

As said the extension could be for one or two drills which is down to the minister Ch1 will be the first and if there is a second commitment the Bod have protected us through various clauses against certain events. Best case it would become part of development. Worse case we fund it ourselves but regain to 75%

Tbh I find it strange that he would introduce a negative about the rig. Our own team have dealt with it and it's really an internal matter not needed to be released. Seems like he felt the need to give an excuse for late delivery and lay some blame. Perhaps trying to pacify the knockers. He should realise they will find something else to moan about no matter what he does. Important thing is they have found what they expected to find and are heading to next target

Very quickly two quick answers it's bed time. There is one hell of a difference between portraying a potential liability as $5.93m when the reality is $2.74 and it is still only POTENTIAL which the company is in fact disputing. You are the very first to correct people if information is correct or not but your post is misleading people into believing we owe what we don't. You are wrong to do so and particularly when you know full well the facts as they have been pointed out many times before. As for the assurances this has come from the ministry of energy and it is contained within the circular but of course if you would rather me not put positive factual things forward that are in print they you only have to say!

Amen to that cp and with assurance given the extension licence should be granted prior to the long stop position allowing farm-out completion and the Farm-out agreement stipulating that CH-1 drill must be spudded as soon as reasonably practical after completion, that indicates we should be ready to roll PDQ after completion.

It is my understanding that cps words "doubling costs is hardly irrelevant when cash is tight" were in response to "Maybe you can pose a more likely explanation CP, rather than simply pick irrelevant holes in mine?" where the original conversation was about someone incorrectly more than doubling the costs of the disputed amounts from 2.73m to 5.93m (No names mentioned but rather a naughty turn around on word play I feel) ;0))

Who now knows the timing though! Now everything is decided, one nod and three signatures after the EGM and the rig could be on the road by the 5th. We could always hire these guys on here who reckon that are much more capable of doing stuff quicker and better than our lot and they may even have the rig erected and spudded by Monday 7th January. Probably wouldn't even stop for tea and biscuits :0))

cp is quite right on the figures though, 2.73m net and I believe the figure they definitely owe us was 2.84m net for gas already invoiced. There claim still to be proven so best case we get 2.84m and worse case we get 110k but the fact is we don't owe them Jack!
