Interesting piece http://www.mongolianminingjournal.com/a/71245 The budget will receive MNT183.2 billion ($64.2 mill) from an estimated 5.8 million barrels of oil exported at $47.9/barrel. This is projected for 2021 - working on the numbers above and at current exchange rates - interesting that the gov't makes approx 23% on each barrel of oil. A question for people more in the know than me - does this mean Petro China or Petro Matad hopefully in the near future would make 77% before costs on each barrel - would be interested to hear comments

Rise I believe is dependent on what other news comes with the EL RNS - placing if there is one dependent on how big it is - JV if there is one will help the rise - 2021 plan and what it includes - if they say they will drill the raptors could be big news - imho and as said just mine - I believe there will be a big upsurge in the SP once the EL RNS comes out - well into double figures - PM has had a long time to put their plans in place before the EL RNS comes out so I expect multiple news catalysts but DYOR and make up your own mind

H202 - 23rd March RNS - upgraded to 194 million -conservative recoverable of 33 million but as per MB last comments he says possibility of 30% recoverable which is near to 60 million

Hi Manro - just out of interest and not a trick question - I am a LTH and very much in the red and want this ruddy EL news as much as everybody else - I know you have been scathing of MB - what would you have done different as imho I think his hands have been tied by this sodding government - as I say just interested from another point of view

Continually blaming MB imho is wrong - yes it's frustrating how this has panned out but this year has not been a "normal" year all round but tell me what was he supposed to do with the government - tell them to pull their fkg finger out and then alienate PM - surely their major shareholder being a big Mongolian company would have some sort of voice and been the route to government but obviously they can only do so much, but as said imho blaming MB is undue

The EL is not only massive for PM & us PI's it's also massive for the government - they have hugely invested in an oil refinery so need to get this right so they need to know 100% that PM are able to service this oil refinery - so I would think there are numerous provisos that PM have to come up with before they agree to the EL - obviously they are checking the potential of the existing oil strike - but I would think they would need to know how PM are going to afford to further drill - and wouldn't be surprised if government has some say so in what PM drills - will the gov state they want the raptors drilled in 2021 - JV and who with etc etc before they agree the EL - that's why IMHO - I think PM has everything in place already and am just waiting for the EL to be granted, as mentioned only my opinion - hoping for some good news to make our Xmas

We understand that whilst the nominees for the Petroleum Subcommittee - which will review the Heron reserves report - have been finalized, the full membership of other subcommittees has yet to be confirmed which is causing a delay in ratification.
Above was a section of the October RNS. These sub committees were established and approved today. Hopefully we will start to see some movement

Good posts today guys - as I see it as well - lots of things have happened this year to cause the delays - Covid - elections - changing their O & G procedures to match international laws and regs - so building a foundation for future years - oil refinery progressing and needs stock - it's bloody frustrating for us PI's but we just need more patience - and I'm sure we will be justifiably rewarded - just keep the faith

Not me mate - been in PM for many years and well underwater at present - here for the long term - post was just info out there and hoping this might be a start of long awaited EL news - so not a pump and dump be any means
