She can't understand why we're not doing rapid antigen tests. I can't understand either, surely CONDOR/FALCON know if the AVCT test is effective in comparison to others by now. Doesn't seem to be any urgency or maybe they have a worry about the unecessary buffer for the spit. We know the test works.

The analysis was excellent and makes CEY a target and the author says because the new licences are not subject to a 50% profit share that the company has a good chance of gaining reserves as an Egyptian specialist.

Cytiva have done the template for others to manufacture. Fardistanthills explains that they provide the fabric membrane so extra for them on top of template. Cytiva have grown their MC of late on the back of recurring income from templates for tests that others make and this explains how big they have become. Ophidian has signed off but he did say pilot batches will have been made and submitted for Emergency Use Authorisation. (EUA)

Cytiva collaborate with Avacta to manufacture does not mean they are manufacturers, it may mean they provide the template to BBI and assist afterall they get a % for every test sold. They will do the same for all other manufacturers appointesd. It is handy if BBI are next door as allows for a physical oversight.

It is certainly worth a mention as part of the Covid19 story, I am sure it will have been part of small talk within AVCT labs.

I don't think AVCT have had the results from any independant testing. It may well do as new tech.

What if antigen AVCT LFD is 99% accurate 100 % of the time. I think wait and see validation before I comment.

Colette12, I think it may have been a civil service glitch when the imperative was to increase availability of PPE. Some miscreants (to put it mildly), took advantage is my guess.
