MCB55 , AVA6000 can prove a concept at lower margins for us than those that follow. Essentially a new drug which can more than double the market should command 50% profit share for AVCT and that is before addressing the new patent reset as an incentive to rush into development.

Timing of CV is not in AS's hands but I think his confidence comes from the consortium (PA Consulting) being on track to meet government deadlines. The pressure should be on Mologic (look how few employees they have) but they went independent again in 2014 so no shareholder pressure.

Just the usual lack of explanation from the government tsales. Surely no harm to say they want the sovereign test to start rolling out on 5/4. Industry might be able to plan for action. It is the lack of info from Boris that is destroying hope in the SP and wild guesswork.

Mologic are quicker with the CV but that will revert to AVCT in the agreement I expect when Mologic CV comes through. Only guessing but all manufacturers have the same equipment but until Mologic get their CV there is nothing to transfer to AVCT so AVCT cannot be the nominated test. I think this was in an rns.

He still thinks pcr can tell him LFTs are no good and Welsh data badly reported too. Correcting for sample fraction he gets the innova test in Wales to 17.5$ sensitivity and 99.7% specificity.

This bit was of interest; "These lineages are each characterized by numerous mutations in the spike protein, raising concerns that they may escape from therapeutic monoclonals and vaccine-induced antibodies"; and I am glad affimers like phages do not have a mutation effect and can be adapted to any new variant while the above quote could nean an increasing supply of variants to tackle. The post below explained it for you. There is no TT from AVCT just waiting for CV. Mologic (GAD & ODX/Mologic collaboration) form one supply structure with Mologic doing the paperwork. BBI and ABDX are controlled by AVCT doing the paperwork. Surplus over sovereign requirements will be available as AffiDX for commercial sale in branded box and the level of success is likely proportionate to the CV results.

1 The ‘sovereign’ test is a separate government (pa consulting) led exercise to manufacture a U.K. test to a common spec across a range of manufacturers in the U.K. The recent ODX and GAD manufacturing awards are related to this initiative.

2 The DPS 8bn procurement is for branded lft tests in addition to the sovereign supply. The recent ODX and GAD manufacturing awards are not related to this. The idea behind this procurement is to make up any shortfall in sovereign supply if needed, but also to provide a competitive comparison to justify expenditure under the sovereign supply. And I suppose it will allow the government to buy a revolutionary 3rd party test should one come to market unexpectedly.

I reckon that most manufacturing capacity in the U.K. is currently reserved for the sovereign test. Explains why recent Avacta communications about U.K. capacity for the Avacta branded test is rather modest. I do still very much think that the sovereign test is based on Affimers - initial results for our test beat Mologic. But I also think that the government are deliberately keeping the make up of that test fluid - medium term it may migrate to the combined Avacta/Mologic super test but in the short term all will depend on final S&S results - and hence the vast majority of the U.K. manufacturing capacity may pivot between Avacta and Mologic....
