I spy I can only tell you how it works in our office you say it’s not necessarily continued service but that’s how it works in my office example if someone has done 20 years at one office and transfer to where I work an I have 16 years service he would have seniority over me perhaps it’s different at your office

Ispy I know you asked arsenal but in our office seniority works that if someone leaves and their duty goes on the board the person who has the most years continued service will get the job

Ispy no Pressure OT or absence OT the round that’s not covered through sickness we have to take tracks an SD and thin our own round out if the person is still sick after 3 days someone will go on there to clear it but have the tracks SD taken of and shared thrrhout the office and the big parcels as well because they will have 3 days of Mail to deliver

Sorry Red I’ve just seen the post I put up a few days ago . The reason I don’t think the workforce won’t be up to strike 2 days a week is simple money you only have to look at ispy he’s now booking overtime to pay for the day he goes on strike if you were to strike 2 days a week you would only be able to work 4 days a week unless you worked the Sunday

Of course the green agenda is red herring if ST was that concerned about the environment he would get bikes back on town delivery’s . Think how much RM would save in petrol .Obviously we have a lot more parcels now but you can have a full time duty where someone delivers the big parcels you couldn’t get in you bags .you could make the town duty’s bigger because their would have less parcels to deliver which would cover the cost of a full time duty doing the bigger parcels . In my opinion the reason ST wants later start times is he wants people to leave who have good terms and conditions and replace them with new people who are on 25 hour contracts less holiday and less sick pay

Isleworthspy I don’t know if you were being serious when you said you will strike for a day and then book overtime to clear the backlog the next day that is playing into Royal Mail hands . A one day strike once a week won’t make any difference to Royal Mail it would be just like when we have a bank holiday we do 6 days work in 5 days .to disrupt Royal Mail you need to strike at least twice a week and I don’t think the workforce will be up for that .by the way I’m not looking for an argument ilseworth your one of the people who does talk a bit of sense .Has like me you actually do the job and know I physically demanding it is

Ankersharkz you are correct the 2021 results were announced on the 20th of may the share price opened at 5.38 and finished at 5.39 1p up on the full year results the next day it dropped 13p I just looked it up online then on the 24th and 25th went up to 5.92 so my question is why didn’t it go up over 50p on the day there announced the results.The other point you said about parcels being more pre pandemic is also correct but ask yourself what the price was pre pandemic I would say around 2.20 but I can’t find the exactppricee now do you think this share should have doubled before the pandemic set in because I don’t and as for analysits saying 7 pound a share most don’t know there bum from there elbow

I’ve been a postman for 16 years bought 3030 shares when we had the IPO sold 25th of may 2021 at 581 their actually finished the day 5.91.the reason I’m saying this the day before the share price went up about 30p and the day I sold them they went up 40p all this on no news but not one poster on here was saying the share price was being manipulated people only say it when it’s going down on no news .I think it was only beatrootjuice who said at the time that be careful of the prices because packets were slowing up with the end of lockdown and since then the price has dropped 120p

The reason this share is acting like an aim stock is because the money men are struggling to value the company you only have to look at the ipo to see how it was massively undervalued . I will give you an example Royal Mail made 800 million last financial year and pay a 20 p divided which is about 4.75% yield now dark makes a loss but is valued more admittedly dark has the potential to earn more then Royal Mail but that is all it is potential until the rest of the shares what haven’t come on the market this share will be a up and down like a yo yo it will be interesting to see if more come on the market tomorrow
