I must admit I agree with what Hunt has done apart from scrapping the 66 pounds a month for help with the gas bills because come April you could be paying 70% more then what we are now which obviously will push inflation up even higher I expect the BOE to raise interest rates by 1% in November or .75% at least

Postmanporche I bought the full amount as well 3030 shares for 10 thousand pounds I was also telling my work mates to buy as many as their could afford. Because if you remember a couple of weeks before the IPO all hedge funds were saying it was undervalued by between 25% to 45% on its first day of trading it went up 38% .

Teslo the postman were given 10% of the stock when RM became a PLC and I would imagine at least half have sold their holding probably a lot more then that I don’t know of any have still got there free shares so I would say at most 5% of the employees still have still got there free shares

Ispy if the USO goes it will be good for shareholders you will have a lot less staff to pay with job losses . You will probably deliver letters 3 days a week and parcels 7 days a week. Which IMO that is what ST wants no worries about fines for not meeting targets trust me this price would reach 4 pounds within a year if the USO thegoes with the money their would save . The bit where you put where customers would look elsewhere for someone to deliver their parcels won’t happen because we will be delivering parcels 7 days a week

Anger ST has said he will do everything he can to avoid compulsory redundancy’s so I can only believe what he says. Now going by how he has run this company into the ground it will probably be only compulsory redundancy’s and no VR

Maximum your contradicting RM statement no compulsory redundancy’s . So weather your a sick note or not we won’t make you redundant. Now I can only believe what RM our saying . Maybe you know more then me and RM are lying time will tell

If you are right Maximus and the sick notes are the ones who get made redundant what about the hard working ones who want to go . If you read RM statement there are saying they don’t expect any compulsory redundancy’s it will all be voluntary in which case you would be wrong

You might well be right Maximus time will tell we have 4 in the office who want to go and only 17 work in the office so we all won’t be able to go

Beetroot juice just a reply from your 9.54 post when I put 14000 pounds down for VR that was a rough guide by my manager apparently he said RM would pay the minimum amount they can for redundancy in his opinion which according to him is 1 week wages for every year you worked and after the age of 41 you get 1 and half weeks wages so in my case it would be 25 and a half weeks wage’s has I would have done 17 years in February plus 12 weeks notice but RM might require you to work your 12 week notice. I started at RM when I was 42 so that’s why I would get 1 and half weeks for every year I worked. All in my managers opinion so don’t shoot the messenger. It would be interesting to hear from other postman if their manager know what the minimum payment is

Dynamo you could be right 4 in our office have asked for VR and there is only 17 work there but whatever happens I can’t see anyone being made redundant it will all be volunteers. Anger you are giving it Billy big boll-cks I said this would happen yet you kept averaging down now what mug would be buying in a company when the company is losing money hand over fist which they predicted it would be and still keep buying shares you that is why you know nothing about investing just remember that I sold 3030 shares at 5.81 I could give you some tips about buying shares but it would go over your head

Anger what a result for me I sold at 5.81 now I have just saw my manager and volunteer for my redundancy along with 3 other manager said after 16 years service I should get about 14000. Pounds and I was retiring in June when I will be 60 happy days keep average down you mug

Mike how do you know it won’t be privatised last set of results we had before privatisation we made 300 million pounds. Thatcher said she would never privatise RM because she probably thought it wasn’t a good idea and since it’s lost 1.2 million of its IPO price she was probably right
