Lampylew all my shares I’ve got are with Halifax and the dividend has always gone into my account on the day they should but it’s always after 5 o’clock if you don’t get the money in your account today give them a ring tomorrow

Why would DK offer more when his offer as been accepted ?

Smokingdragon the reason the share price is at 350 is the labour government have now given the go ahead for DK offer which should be completed in the first quarter of 2025 so if you have any shares you will receive 368 when the deal is completed that includes the 8p special dividend

Results tomorrow and according to daily mail DK bid to be accepted. I know the previous government gave DK the go ahead to take over ROYAL Mail but Labour are also happy to hand the business over to DK the price is now only 10p of DK bid plus the 8p dividend

Oakwellfan I also said yes and the shares are not shown in my Halifax account I also didn’t get the dividend but if the vote goes to except DK offer you will get 360 a share plus 10 in dividend payments 1 dividend will be for 2p which has already been paid out and the other for 8p so you will get the dividend payment then

Yes I was having the same thoughts as you Brendyboy might even be a few backhanders thrown somewhere.Look at DK bid 3.40 board rejects it immediately comeback with 3.70 and it gets excepted he offered roughly 8% more then the original offer and the board recommended the shareholders except it . I’ve played the stock market since 1997 and if I’ve learnt one thing it is corrupt

Shrewsbury your holding will be kept by Halifax if the vote goes DK way your account will have the money put in to the value of your shares ie if you have 1000 shares you will have 3700 pounds put in you account. If the offer is rejected your shares will be put back in your account

Ponty you excepted the offer yet you think it is way to low very strange way to play the stock market

Red if DK bid is rejected then the shares will be put back into your ISA account

Just had my IDS shares took out of my portfolio I had 20;000 pounds worth I accepted DK bid of 370 but only paid 255 so I’m happy with the offer good luck to everyone on here whatever you decide to do

Simx. Yes that was part of labour manifesto to build 1.5 million homes we all knew labour were going to get elected that’s why I bought shares in persimmon 3 weeks ago IMO house builders like persimmon will be a good long term investment

Your not being ignorant phunt but a former poster on here might disagree with me the chances of it getting to 365 before the takeover are very slim IMO it won’t go above 360 before this is signed sealed and delivered and if he doesn’t go through I would say it will go between 250 - 275

Smokingdragon no you can’t hold your shares if the vote is in favour of DK offer if you have a share dealing account the shares will be removed from your account and the money for your shares will go in your account

Littledickybird it still has to be put to the shareholders for a vote and if the vote rejects the offer the chances are this will drop like a stone. I’m in at 255 just sold 50% of my holding at 330 if the deal goes through at 370 then ive sold my stake at 350 which I’m happy with

Abjectperformer you won’t get 380 it is 360 and 10p dividend 370 is the offer and that is what you will get
