Ispy don’t ask Maxiloss for his expert opinion because he is TAF when it comes to investing march 2022 these are Maxiloss words I have bought again at 360 although quite deep and past my level I would normally go to just can’t resist at this level so Christ knows what price he was buying originally so he is no expert
Anger he can have an opinion on the office where he worked . But that doesn’t mean it’s like that throughout the country. Friday before Mother’s Day all agency staff were laid of in Essex Suffolk and Norfolk so all the duties they were covering didn’t go out on Saturday now the workforce that’s left have to cover those duties . So no it’s not manageable in the office I work or the other 2 offices I know about
Newdealz you say follow the money when investing well I’m glad I wasn’t following DK when he was paying plus 4 pounds for this share . He is obviously a very intelligent man but you won’t get every decision right the trick is to get more right then wrong . He bought 27% stake in West Ham for 200 million another 100 million and he would have owned Newcastle at the minute Newcastle would appear to be the better bet
Ispy I also think it will be renationalised if it goes wrong here and the postman will still have a job but I don’t think GLS will be renationalised it will be a PLC in its own right and then I think DK will step in and make a takeover bid for GLS . At the end of the day the government got 3.3 billion for royal mail so they can buy it back at a fraction of the price I also think this is what Ward wants anyway
Anger DK was given the green light by Kawasi when he was business secretary we have a different one now who might not give DK the green light . You only had to look at Kawasi budget that got ripped up as soon as Hunt got to be chancellor it’s not set in stone DK can get more shares if this business secretary thinks it is bad
Anger you say there is very little the government can do when dealing with a private company I have to disagree simply because it’s down to the government whether we have the uso where we deliver letters 6 days a week or 5 days a week the uso can’t be changed without it going through parliament which if it was reduced in its current form the share price would rise so basically the government has a big say in this plc
Regarding the USO I can only speak about the office I work in and every time we have a bank holiday we clear the office which means we only have 5 days to deliver having said that we are now going from 12 duties down to 10 so I would say it wouldn’t be achievable come April when we lose the 2 duties
Scamp you say you think there will be more job losses as the company have said there won’t be any Compulsory redundancy’s I take it you think there will just be voluntary redundancy. And how many more job losses do you think there will be
Everyone knows the USO is not fit for purpose apart from ofgom I believe they looked at it last year and said nothing need’s changing. The USO quite clearly states we deliver 6 days a week letters and 5 days a week parcels yet letters have dropped and parcels have increased so you would think it would be the other way round .
So IA cost 200 million now let’s say 100000 postman went on strike at a 100 pounds a day that’s 10 million RM have saved in wages times that by 18 for all the strike days that’s 180 million saved in wages so Simple Simon must think we lost 380 million in lost revenue
RM have said the number of VR redundancy’s it needed to hit job cuts targets would be much lower then expected . The number would be significantly less then the 5000 - 6000 it forecast before partly due to staff turnover. That comes from bbc news website. I might be mistaken but I always thought it was 10000 when RM announced redundancy.

The business select committee is due to meet tomorrow to set its agenda, which could include calling the chief executive back for further questioning following a bruising appearance last week that saw him quizzed about strikes, his £140,000 bonus and plans to stop delivering letters on Saturdays.
Mike you forgot to mention your bought at 330 at the initial IPO but now the price is 109 down on that you don’t like to admit it . But I’m sure you sold your initial holding for 600
