Really emphasises that breadth of opportunities that AVCT have with both clinical assets and platforms. This is not a straightforward opportunity to sell or license a single asset, this is clearly a range of potential deals that could be interlinked and I can imagine this is a complex and protracted series of negotiations.

It is little wonder that we are experiencing a news blackout and thank goodness we have someone with the experience of Simon Bennett leading the negotiations.

The SP is as depressing as it it is unfathomable but we know it's coming and I for one would rather 'suffer' the FUD and falling SP in return for SB and his team taking their time to negotiate the best deals.

BV, The problem the company have as I see it, is that this is an ongoing, evolving 'live' clinical trail. It is a novel solution to an old problem and because it hasn't been done before, things are changing on a daily basis. We know, for example, that they didn't expect to go to C7 to find MTD, the shortened 2 week study was initially unplanned.

Against this backdrop of 'emerging data' I have some sympathy with the Co at being reluctant to be definitive in their comms. God knows the clowns will jump all over anything ambiguous that distracts from the science.

I suspect that they have reflected that, on balance, it's probably better to say nothing than provide further partial/incomplete updates

@Bella, you and Ice raise an important point, that being that there could be whole host of reasons why we haven't had an interim update. The reality is however that the silence has had a negative impact on the SP with short-term AIM gamblers moving their spending money elsewhere. It has also allowed the FUDster bedwetters to move the narrative away from the science.

We therefore have to ask ourselves, do we want 'holding' updates or would we prefer to wait until the Co has definitive information to share?

Holding updates would be a bad idea in my opinion, AS would have to use vague language (everything is on track, don't worry about funding etc) and this would neither reassure the market nor assuage the concerns of the bedwetters, who would jump on it as another example of poor comms/missed deadlines etc.

Anyone that has done their research knows that the science is the star of the show here and what has been proven unequivocally at P1a is truly revolutionary and worth many multiples of the current SP.

Silence, sadly, allows the fudsters to move the debate away from the science and onto topics their intellect feels far more comfortable with like speculating about funding, or what went wrong with the LFT, or that AS is incompetent/unreliable etc

If you are having doubts, read the RNS's again, listen to CC at the P1a update, read the Q&A, ask yourself why CC & Simon Bennett accepted full-time positions, and finally ask yourself how the 65% guy and his family are feeling this weekend.

Agreed Timster. It is likely that the SDMC have designed a very specific patient/cohort requirement for the shortened 2 week study to maximise the potential outcome/benefit, which in turn will best demonstrate the effectiveness of AVA6k.

We know that STS is a rare cancer, hence ODD status and therefore it is likely taking time to screen for the optimum trial candidates. This is not a delay, this is good practice when undertaking clinical trials.

Therefore, if the Co has nothing material to update us on then this is NOT poor communication, it is simply NO communication because there is nothing to say.

It’s just another spin of the FUD merry-go-round. We move from funding, to delays, to poor communication, to small cohort size, to placebo’s, to arthritis etc the list goes on.

If anyone wants daily updates on nothing in particular then they are nothing more than a petulant child asking ‘are we there yet’

This is a company that is creating truly ground breaking science, by definition that means it hasn’t been done before, it’s new, it’s revolutionary, the trial has exceeded expectations, initial plans have been changed. For example, screening for patients for the amended 2 week study. Do the fudsters think there is a queue of people waiting to go on trial? Do they think we can just kidnap a tramp and graft STS like we would with a mouse. ? No, we need a very specific first line patient and this could take time to find. It is not a delay and saying nothing about it is not poor communication.

We are not experiencing delays, we are not experiencing poor communications we are witnessing a company navigating something truly revolutionary that’s has never been done before. (And many have tried)

They are legally bound to update us on anything material that could affect the share price. They are not legally bound to reassure bed wetting fudsters.

I do however, I think it worth reminding ourselves that much of the data presented at both the Science Day (23rd Feb 2023) and the P1a clinical trial update (28th June 23) was actually led by Dr Andrew Saunders.

People come and go all the time in every company for a whole host of reasons. Suggesting that the departures of FMc & NB are because 'they obviously know something bad is about to happen' is pathetic and childish and readily countered by the appointments of CC and Simon Bennett who 'obviously know something good is about to happen'

AVCT have a strong executive management team, recently bolstered and a strong support team of non-execs and advisors like Andrew Saunders.

As has been said, absolutely nothing to see here.

Until we know what type of cancer the King is suffering from, any discussion about what type of therapy he may or may not be eligible for is utterly pointless

Medicine has been trying, largely unsuccessfully, to beat this disease for decades and it's actually a privilege to be invested in a company that is on the cusp of improving outcomes for potentially millions of sufferers.

It's not easy and the Co deserves our full support and any low-life who would seek to benefit financially from the failure of the AVA trial rightly deserves our contempt.
