Manifesto - I stand corrected. I have just done the sums and I would guess £1.20 is their average in price.
However, I still maintain if Polygon could get out at breakeven or even close to it, they would. There are positives and as a LTH who is deep in this, I want us to do well. But I also appreciate this could now take a long time to come good...time is money. And £25m in the grand scheme of things isn't that much. We have lots of big salaries to pay for people we don't now need...manufacturing?! I think the AGM will see some big changes.
My point with takeovers is that large pharma have all the power now. If we'd have passed SPRINTER, yes we would be in a much stronger position. But they can now say to Synairgen we can go toddle off, spend years trying to prove this in further trials, burning through cash to keep the lights on and salaries paid, with no guarantees of success at the end. Or, cut your losses with £1.
I so wanted this to succeed. And it may well do. But offer me £1 right now... I'd probably take it. (My average is almost identical to Polygon).
