I have to agree with Palladin, though. It’s been 8 weeks since that dreadful day… it baffles me why it takes so long when we have wonderful things like Excel! I bet I could filter out plenty of data in one day if they gave it to me..

But to me, it seems odd that we passed futility at the halfway point, and yet met zero endpoints, primary or secondary.

I don't often invest in companies like Synairgen so don't know if this happens a lot, where a drug passes futility at half time but then doesn't meet any of its end points. Anyone with the knowledge care to comment?

Yes, how we passed futility at the mid point is a mystery. I wonder if this will be commented on by SNG at some point.

Andrew, I wouldn’t say I’m desperate for a positive outcome. I invested approx 20% of my portfolio in SNG, so while it has hurt, it has not materially changed my life. The top up made sense to me… I am still positive on SNG but think the upside has diminished. For a fraction of my overall cost I have significantly increased my holding. But hey, maybe subconsciously I am desperate!

People that are desperate can become more sensitive. And we’ve certainly seen that this morning!

Anyway, I’m going to bid all LTH a happy Saturday. I am ‘desperate’ to get outside, enjoy the weather and watch the Grand National with friends. I hope that doesn’t make me a sun worshipping alcoholic!

Tommy - nail on the head. I’m expressing my view. I’m not some kind of Andybe4. I’m positive on Synairgen, have indeed increased my holding by 66% post 21/2. But the situation is precarious. Is that word acceptable!? :/

Desperate: “having a great need or desire for something”.

I’d say that word fits the bill perfectly.

TommyD - Don’t try to shoot down a LTH who wants this to do well. Otherwise we’ll be proving the likes of Burstead and Andybe4 right. It’s a good find, I thanked you for it.

The situation is desperate. If Synairgen do not find something positive, whether it be SPRINTER deep dive, ACTIV continuing in some form, long Covid or whatever else, then the future is bleak.

Of course as a LTH I want them to do everything they can. Quit with the semantics.

JoeyDiamond - I don't think it is point 1. Polygon have had ample opportunity to buy up shares around 20p without the need of PI's coming on LSE and trying to suppress/lower the SP any further.

Point 2, I have mentioned several times how I am wary of there being such a large shareholder and what power they now have. Polygon are out to make money, and if that means the little PI getting crushed, they'll do it.

The biggest danger for me is that we get don't get the chance to see this through to the end, Sirius Minerals style.

Burstead - you said to waiteoxford “your” investment has fallen into the abyss. I think you should have said our investment has fallen into the abyss. We are all in the same boat, if indeed you are telling the truth when you say you’re invested and not just a troll?

RM going into hiding, inexplicably after such a catastrophe and massacre of the SP, has not helped his cause. I was staggered so many on here defended him doing so. He should have faced the cameras on day one or very quickly and been contrite with it.

I’m not sure how a motion could be raised for a vote of no confidence in RM and other members of the board. Maybe it’s in the Articles of Association… I’ve no idea, but would be keen to know. If nothing else, it would be a good shot across the bows.
