I suppose I don’t want to get my hopes up again, but I’m sure RM would have strongly envisaged us passing sprinter P3, too!
Synairgen could well be in talks and been given a bit of a nod and a wink for strive, but if the worst was to happen and strive pulled because of politics, RM could have egg on his face.
All guesswork right now. Roll on end of September and hopefully one way or another we’ll be put out of our misery of not knowing anything with any certainty.

What else do you think could be on the horizon for Synairgen?

Prion, if strive is canned and/or Synairgen don’t get on it then the future is bleak IMO. Docdaneeka has talked about recovery and how long that trial could end up taking. We’d certainly be in a very weak position.
I hope we do eventually see the ACTIV P2 data and that it is very good, because if we don’t get on these potential trials we will be very vulnerable and will need all the help we can get to make ourselves look attractive.

Maybe I’ve got the blinkers on a bit, but I feel quite a bit of sympathy for Synairgen now. I mean, after being informed by the NIH/NIAID all the way back on 20th October 2021 that we were successful in ACTIV-2 P2 (one of only a handful to achieve this) that we’d still not have the data nearly one whole year later, who would’ve thought that?!
Synairgen REALLY needed this data following the bad news in February and I honestly don’t know why they’ve not been given it yet, regardless of ACTIV-2 being shut down or a potential new trial replacing it. Doesn’t make sense to me and I know from the AGM that Synairgen are desperately trying to get hold of it.
Yes, a new trial is absolutely the focus right now. But excellent A2P2 being delivered to us would still have helped and perhaps given us some additional reassurance.

QUESTION: What about COPD/Asthma?
ANSWER: RM used the phrase “we’re firing a lot of arrows and hopefully at least one will hit the target”. In other words, yes, these are still big potential markets for Synairgen, and they are pursuing every angle and leaving no stone unturned. It was re-iterated that the broad-spectrum and variant agnostic nature of SNG001 makes it an extremely powerful potential product.

We might have the odd word out of place or incorrect. As mentioned, we didn't have a dictaphone but this should help with the context.

For me, I think Synairgen are desperate. Desperate to get on a trial because they know if they don't the future is bleak. We hopefully all understand this. The hope and belief of LTHs is that we will get on a PT.

billywild - I think by end of September is a reasonable time to expect some news. Summer ends 23rd September and we were told we’d hear about ACTIV P2 data by then, albeit I think that was a guess.
I’ll get a little nervous if nothing by then and extremely twitchy if nothing by year end, which in the grand scheme of things isn’t that far away.

It might have been peer reviewed, but it’s not the kind of peer review I’m going to get excited about!

Peterborough beer festival next week and it’ll take me another week to recover from it. Before I know it, it’ll be September and getting more feasible we’ll hear something, whether it’s good or bad news.

I was one of those guilty of replying but will commit now to not replying to them both in future.

Some people are just relentless and won't give it a rest.

SNG and CINE very different, I'm here very primarily to make money. But I also wanted to own a "Covid stock" that could help in some way. SNG was top of my list with it also potentially able to help with many other problems (COPD another). It means that it would be extra sweet to see it succeed.

xviolet - Profits and earnings up in first two quarters and forecast to continue growing. Equities can protect you against inflation because they can pass on the price increases to the consumer.
I'd probably stick to the larger companies that will survive the tough times. Rio Tinto, one of the largest miners in the world, has a dividend yield of 11%. Stick to stuff like that, diversify and I think it's not necessarily a bad time to invest.

Doc - incredibly one poster thought it would be good to post "this has been the best short I've ever had".

You couldn't make up the insensitivity of some people and can only hope they get their comeuppance one day.

I’m sure it brings back a few bad memories from Feb 21st. I’m probably over invested in SNG (unless it gets back to 85p+!) but won’t forget that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach when that RNS landed.

Let’s hope this one comes good for us. And that they guy on the CINE board is OK.

Palladin - I did not see Jody Brookes at the AGM. Certainly not at the front or answering Q&A. It is possible she was there at the back but I had a glance around the room and didn't see her.

Tattyhead - I do not know why we didn't ask about the futility test at halfway because it was something I wanted to ask. Wigster, was it on our notes? Inexplicable we didn't ask, given I wanted to know... I suppose it was a fairly intense and fast paced Q&A and we simply forgot with trying to take down so many notes.

No need for anyone to get into a war of words with the likes of Andybe4. There was a poster on here post February who talked about feeling suicidal… food for thought for these scumbags who think they’re being funny.

Call it karma or whatever, but life has a habit of eventually punishing you for bad deeds and Andy/Drew will get his comeuppance for taking delight in everyone being sat on huge paper losses here, be it in this life or the next, where I’m pretty sure he’s going to burn in hell.

Palladin - I have been critical of Synairgen for their lack of communication since February but do have quite a bit of sympathy for them still not being given their ACTIV P2 data, nearly a year after being told they had passed through to P3.
We know it’s coming. It’s not if, but when. If the data is good (they wouldn’t pass a complete dud through, surely?!) then this should support the SP and maybe put us back in the shop window for a TO.
But of course the big one is getting onto a new trial. For all of Andybe4’s nonsense posts, if we don’t get on a trial then his prediction may well come true.

I’m hopeful we will get on one, be it strive or whatever else. It would be madness for all that money to be spent on Synairgen’s P2 trial (that was successful!), for it to then be put in the bin and consigned to history :/
