Brand - for sure this must all be good news. Covid seemingly flaring back up you would think would jolt governments back into action with regards to pandemic preparedness in general. Surely to goodness we’ll see more help and encouragement for drug developers such as SNG, which is something Rick Bright has talked about.

Nice to see the positive move upwards continue. Joking aside, I do not have millions of shares (that was just a bit of fun after seeing some other members willy waving their big holdings!) but I did top up at around 3.5p after holding firm during what has been a mostly turgid year for PM.

Fingers crossed we get the LP and can finally earn some deserved big profits. 10p for me before I consider selling…

I had no problem getting a quote to sell nearly 10 million shares this morning, albeit I had to accept a bit below the quoted price.

If true, that’s quite staggering. And surely Covid will flare back up internationally again. Also incredible when we see stories like this that governments seem to have really taken their eye off the ball with regards to helping develop drugs such as ours.

Would also add that if they are supposedly high conviction, why would you waste money with any hedges? You’d surely just go long if you were so high conviction and sure.

We’re guessing if they have any hedge or short cover in place. Personally, I don’t think their average is far below £1. But regardless, it is surely undeniable that they are well underwater on their Synairgen investment. Even all their top ups at 30p, 25p, 20p etc are now well down.

But I’m guessing they are like me and not too bothered at the short term price movements and expect/hope to see a big rerate once a trial is booked up.

I worked out their average at around 90-100p.

They may well have “vastly superior trading instruments and strategies” but it hasn’t helped them so far! Right now they are down heavily like most of us.

If there is a fundraise then the only way they’ll get it away is if it’s to fund a trial. There’s no way people would subscribe to it for general working capital.

Well I’ve been in the pub a few hours now, Christmas well underway. But I couldn’t resist a peek to see who is the saddest troll, working hard on Christmas Eve. That prize goes to ProfessorSPD!

Christ alive, oj17. It’s late on a Friday evening, about to tick over into Christmas Eve and you’re still trolling on a BB for a stock which you don’t own or like.

Docdaneeka - re Synairgen and their comms, I’ve got to say I’m staggered they released that RNS on the last market day before Christmas. I’m already champing at the bit for the next AGM and some difficult questions I want to ask them.

Company valuation now borderline ridiculous. Take away the cash and it’s being valued at barely nothing.

I’m still positive. Nothing has changed as it stands. We still have a chance of a platform trial. We have been recruiting. We have a committed large investor in Polygon.

We have to remain logical with our thinking. What bad news could be causing the drop?

- potential fundraise
- large seller
- news we’re not on strive or other trials

Something appears to be going on, more than just some end of year rebalancing of portfolios. A large seller (provided they don’t have any inside info) does not bother me. News of not being on a trial would be disappointing. A fundraise would be bad for the SP but I have commented for a while that we might be best just getting it done and setting up our own trial again.

Gggg21 - if/when a fundraise happens, TFG surely would be consulted first. It might end up being our only route out of this so they could give it the nod.

I’m tempted to average down further, but I’m conscious if there is potentially any fundraise in the coming months to hold some cash back.

SP basically just representing cash held on account. Crazy.

Roger - I’m afraid the stockmarket and especially stocks like junior miners, oil explorers, small pharma etc are not for you.

The SP is the ultimate yardstick, but not the only one. Earnings and profits in the US (the biggest and most important market) have been up in every single quarter this year. Yet the market is down. Why? Negative sentiment. Markets are always driven by sentiment in the short term and fundamentals (ultimately profits) over the longer term.

I’ve seen nothing so far to worry me about POW. That’s not to say it won’t end up a mess. But you are jumping the gun and getting all panicky again because the SP hasn’t rocketed to 10p ready for Christmas Eve.

How do you know one hasn’t already been organised and the finishing touches are being put to it?

BG - you can’t say “Knowledge is always better shared than protected” when you’ve also just said “Background research, which I will not divulge, gives me the idea that it will be of interest to us”!
