And that's the crux of the matter. Many on here, like you, like to bury their head in the sand and not hear that their investment might not be 100% guaranteed. It's good to hear some potential negatives (balance) and to challenge your thinking/rationale for investing in something. And to be fair, while I do post more against than for posts, I do also post reasons for. It is just less because WOS and you do such a good job already with the reasons for investing ;)

Got to say I'm staggered we've not had the AGM notification. They have missed the deadline, pure and simple. Perhaps they can change their year end date once every 5 years (although I'd have thought that would need some form of advance notification?), but what lengths to go to just to keep us in the dark? Very bizarre.

Of course, all will be forgiven if they're working on a billion pound sell out. If not, it's the chopping block for the them.

My post was absolutely fine, simply responding to Ibiza with some valid concerns that even some of the more 'liked' members on here have raised. It didn't deserve the "so who cares about your (opinion)?" response. But it gets those who are bit simple riled up, a bit like you've just done.

Sow Discord - To sow discord is to say and do things which cause distrust among one another, which results in arguments and fights. Usually the ‘sower’ is acting as if he/she is not trying to cause arguments. Sowing discord is something done in secret, done by deceit authored by the father of deceit. (Oh, Ojay!).

Ibiza - the Chinese are currently buying oil off Russia for about $1/barrel and a mortar shell. IMO we'll only make any money once it's going to this new refinery (probably in 2026), where the MG will pay about $2! But in the meantime the SP should have a relief rerate, but I don't think to 10,15, 20p+.

And I remain highly sceptical of DQE/PC. If they are going to play nice, we should hear news very soon, this week or next. Any longer, that will say to me they are not going to play nice.

Tommy - interesting the lengths they are going to, to delay notification of the AGM. You have to ask, why? I’d like to think if it was bad they’d just get on with it and get it out the way. Or maybe they’re just hoping to have the trials started by the time of the AGM, and it’s worth going to such lengths to delay in that hope. It’s all rather odd, though.

Although this seems to suggest it must be “held” within 6 months!

I was happy that they had until the end of June to publish the year end report, but did think they had to have their AGM within 6 months of the end of the reporting period, i.e. 30th June.

However, reading the rule again (below), is "calling" the AGM simply notifying of the AGM, and the 21 day clock can start as late as 30th June?

"A public company must call an AGM each year within the period of six months starting on the day after its accounting reference date."

Either way, they really are leaving it late!

Rules on AGMs for listed companies from Gateley's:

"if a notice is sent by post on Day 1;

it is deemed served on Day 3;

the 21 ‘clear day’ period starts on Day 4 and ends on Day 24; and

the first day the meeting could be held is Day 25."

Ours will be electronic, so today would be our day 3. Day 25 gets you to Saturday, 29th June.

They are in breach and now "unlawful". I have no idea why they have done this. If it's bad, just say. The SP is already in ruins anyway! If something good is in the works, that doesn't mean they can just disregard the rules. They can also say they are in conversation(s) with other parties but can't comment further at this stage.

It will be interesting to see if Tommy gets an answer from the company secretary. I'm still holding out for an RNS after market. Although an RNS late on a Friday... not usually good news!
