Got to wonder whether an institution(s) are loading up here. These really are quite chunky buys. One or two I could believe be PI’s, but surely not this many. Maybe a TR1 soon.

Interesting. I never knew the amounts but does show it really isn't exactly MATD wanting to look after the regular PI.

BP - how would it be dry? I know there was some talk of PC draining the field as they are close (no idea if this is feasible!) but even if they could, they wouldn't be able to do that in a couple of years.

I said they'd be massive scaling back and it does look to be the case...10% ish of your order... ouch. But this SP now been held down by Shore Cap, maybe to clear out the staggers looking to make a quick buck.

Jazim, if you're potentially investing thousands, then L2 is still relatively cheap. Look at those like Alpha Terminal.

Pre raise the SP just wasn’t moving, despite what seemed positive RNS’. That might have been because ‘the market’ knew a raise would be coming. But I think it was also because most MATD holders were long term fuddy duddies, up to their necks already in stock. The raise does seem to have stirred things up and introduced lots of new investors. If we get a really positive RNS quite quickly, it just might mean those new investors get over excited, top up, and push the SP on a bit. I still maintain this will fall back quite quickly from where it eventually peaks. Whether that’s from 10p, 20p, 5p, I’m not sure.

Aeschylus, I think that statement has been superseded by this in the placing RNS:

“Preparations are being finalised for completion of the Heron 1 well and the contractor, DQE, has indicated that it should be ready to mobilise in July.”

At least I hope it is. But you know I’m glass half full, so we’ll see. It would certainly be highly disappointing if July comes and goes with no work done from DQE.

As for WOS, IIRC he went on holiday for quite a long time last year so I fully expect he’ll be back.

Dozzawba - on Prof, fair enough. Although some on here like Cyber spew out some seriously disgusting bile and are just as bad, if not worse. Just because they shout “15p, 20p, 60!!!” doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get called out. I was someone who was not surprised there was a raise, albeit I thought it would be after we started extracting some oil, and the abuse I got was disgraceful.

Anyway, as you say, onwards and upwards. This is probably the most positive I’ve been about a raise, providing DQE/PC don’t mess us around and we really do crack on with Heron at light speed.

I genuinely think it was the going concern part. Somehow, between last AGM and now, they now can’t afford to run the trials and need to raise cash. They needed to put in a plan B, which is effectively to turn off the lights and hibernate.

Realistic chance of another Covid type event, i.e. the whole world going into lockdown again, is very slim, at least within the next few years, after which it really is all over if that’s what you’re relying on.

And good financial terms to somehow raise cash… unlikely. It’s been a horrible time for small companies to raise cash, never mind on good terms.

Dippfs - I don’t think we would get suspended for failing to have an AGM, but there will be some kind of penalty. However, I am confident we would have been suspended had the annual report been late - I’ve seen this a couple of times. Anyway, they got it out just in time.

Stas - previous raise in Feb 23 was scaled back to around 70%. But this time around it seems to have gone down much more positively. I've gone in for £200k so it's going to be fully taken up ;)

I reckon 10-20%. Or everyone will get £1k or the like.

Yes. While this has been derisked, this is probably one of the risks right now. The refinery could be a long way off yet, so we are reliant on PC and DQE playing fair.
