The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Master82 - lowering yourself to WOS’s and Thornogson’s level, stalking to see what other stocks someone else buys and then try to use it to discredit them and their opinions, is disappointing. But anyway, when was the last time you looked in to see what POW is doing? I’m pretty sure it’s a very different company now to what it was back then.
Have a good weekend.
I did list a few reasons why this isn’t a home run, to add balance, like I said. And there’s plenty more.
And again for balance, I’d counter that the ROW wouldn’t give Mongolia a second thought or rock the international boat if China and/or Russia bullied Mongolia over oil trading/producing between them all.
But that’s ok, Thornogson. You keep the blinkers on and the family investing. As usual, you can’t have a well-mannered debate on here!
Thornogson, Russia could (and indeed has!) messed Mongolia around with the supply of oil, but I would argue to be landlocked between and have two of the most powerfully corrupt nations as your neighbours is more of a negative. But then I am glass half empty on MATD versus your half full!
Just for balance...
"This is one of safest positions anyone can have on Aim, back by Central Govt in line with Country policy on Oil Independence AND with asset in place."
...but in a highly corrupt country, with ridiculous levels of bureaucracy, and landlocked between China and Russia.
Bad day, Dusty?
“10.25am: I'd love to buy more, sure tempted at its dipping, but as I've said previously before these drilling results, I buy now, and it slips down down to 6p and I'm looking at loss making aim ventures all year long, listening to this forum talking this and that won't be enjoyable after, let people have there bloody concerns will you”
7 minutes later!:
10.32am: This is a bit silly, but I'm buying more but someone please explain this???, so i can assess the bottom of this dip and buy there“
I suppose a couple of the big risks are that we don’t find anything with the drill bit, or that we need to raise cash.
But we have a diversified business with many different projects, so should one project produce negative results it shouldn’t be terminal for the company. And SW seems to be doing a good job of raising finance without diluting current shareholders into oblivion.
“I'm finding this very disheartening at present, Its not as I imagined after the RNS everyone said would be. I know shares go up and down I'm not daft but I seriously was hoping better than they are today”
Printerman - many have said, including our CEO, that this will take time. Not days or weeks, but months and years. So why get disheartened?
Some nice trades going through today ;)
Couldn't agree more with Tray, this is a well run, well diversified business. Yes, there are risks, it's a microcap stock. But I don't think there's much better you'll find if fishing around in this particular pond.
“ they have AGREEMENT and already stsrt to plan Operational start with just admin function now.”
So if this was the RNS confirming we are good to go, why hasn’t the SP rerated? I thought it was “10-15p on RNS” and then multi multi bags thereafter?
