In this market, you need the actual discovery (or close to) in order to create the fomo/sentiment, which drives the share price. Otherwise, it's just placings in between different types of guff news flow. Investor's know this and aren't going to get caught up in it, in sufficient numbers to create a rise in the share price.
POW isn't close to giving us a commercial discovery? I don't believe any of the IPOs are either, although I haven't followed them as closely and might be wrong?
And that's the bottom line right now in this market. No amount of conferences is going to change that and they are also guff. All imo and dyor
Agree with you worzel.
my watchlist is a 5 year mish mash of downtrends,on the mining sector
it looks like that downtrend,is ending
but not a reversal,like you mentioned,the worlds in a dark place atm...politically
pow o,56?.....gotta be the low,near az dammit..imo
This chat site is similar to a review of the company and anybody who has been self employed, knows a negative review is a bad thing. Yes we can't all stay positive, especially if we are from the UK. But if anyone else who hasn't invested reads this chat and doesn't investigate the company (as they should be doing) then it's pretty off putting. I'm also a long-term investor and the sp does pee me off every time I look at it. But isn't it the investors that control by selling and buying. I know we need a big result to bring the smiles back, but hey, we have to look at the big picture and see Sean and the rest of them guys are putting in the work. At least he is trying to goto conferences and shout out the word on POW and bring in investors like RR and friends. He's trying to get the ipos out, to reduce the cash burn on pow. All we can do is try and be a little positive as well. We are investors after all and hoping the sp to go back up. If it was our own company, would we want bad reviews for the world to see. Perhaps if anyone has any suggestions or criticism; can pass them onto Sean. I'm sure he will respond.
Anyway! Just trying to bring a bit of positive to a bad sp ;-)
Sensible post !!
I wasn't asking a question mate , i was simply saying I don't believe we are making any revenue as sol suggested.
I have spoken to sean a few times and am invested for the long term , however that doesn't mean I have to be ultra positive about everything.
The type of exploration we conduct and the market conditions we are in , it doesn't really surprise me on what we have achieved this year.
We all have different expectations , some think or expect a commercial find is possible in each exploration , it not in my opinion unless we start using the drill bit.
Money is also a lot tighter then things are suggested on here, otherwise our exploration would be a lot quicker and bolder then it currently is. That's not a moan by the way , its a realisation of where we currently are , there are many factors which can change that quite quickly.
Bonkers - the problem here is the answer won’t be found on LSE - you are probably better off reaching out directly.
And to be honest a lot of people get caught up in the moment , buy more , become Over exposed and start making uphelpful
Comments on when they feel SP pinch.
I think Sean is doing a good job building up the company.
Fingers crossed for futures deals/results.! GLA !
Hi sol , happy not really
What you have described is a placing mate , its not profit and a cash flow that comes in. There's a big difference.
Placing is dilution with the issue of more shares
I'm not trying to antagonise by the way, it was a simple question
Hence why I think depending on what cash is left from the last placing and the exploration sean has suggested he wants to do I won't rule out another cash raise.
It might be by selling of some assets , might be from a placing , certainly won't be from revenue and profits
Another negative basher … why do people talk their own investment down .
Very much agree with wishihadent. Since the 2008 crash, the markets have been on a 15 year bull run with a couple of corrections along the way. Bear markets usually last 3 to 5 years depending on circumstances. The signs where their the back end of 2019. Some say a bit earlier. Covid was one.,Putin invading Ukraine was another. Rising oil prices putting pressure on prices/inflation etc is another. You go on ANY AIM bb ( as well some fts 250/100 caps) and you will see MOST posters taking their frustration out on the bod. Some is valid I agree. However people should not blame the CEO,S for not taking notice of what's happening around the world as it ALWAYS has some effect on stock markets. Like many others, I to am in negative on some of my investments. Some have done well,in this market. Probably would be better if in a bull run. Which will happen. Its a case of when. Nobody tells anyone to buy shares in a given company. YOU and YOU alone decide to buy. If you get caught up in the hype, then that's down to the you. As in all of us. I got caught a few times on oil stocks years ago. Talking about huge potential of large oil finds. Prices shoot up on the CHANCES of hitting oil. Only to find nothing. But that's the point with exploration companies. Hitting that big discovery. I have stayed with POW throughout this down trend because Paul Johnson had a plan to build a portfolio of different metals/ commodities and precious metals in SAFE destinations. Spin-off those into separate companies to go on their own and rise their own money to take that company forward without constantly raising cash to fund them all. But still retaining a large slice of the cake so to speak. IF POW was a one track pony I would of slod up long ago. But its not. If all goes belly up then that's my fault. I made a wrong judgment and expect it and move on. I have never blamed any bod for my loss. That's down to me alone. Nobody gets it right all the time. Best of luck to all
As part of the Placing, the Company is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Subscription Agreement with Term Oil Inc., a company controlled by Rick Rule ("Term Oil"), pursuant to which Term Oil will participate in the Placing up to an amount of £1 million and not less than £0.5 million ("Subscription Agreement").
The net proceeds of the Placing will be used to further the Company's exploration activities and for general working capital purposes.
69,500,000 shares of Kavango Resources plc ("Kavango") at a price of 0.8p per share raising cash of £556,000 for the Company
Happy Bonkers?
Sol where do you think pow might be creating revenue?
The cash will get burnt, not only on exploration and drills but also salaries. 500k is nothing they sold the shares because pow needed money. As I’ve said before to turn the share price around we need a commercial find. Before it all gets burnt hopefully something will happen in 2024
Correct me if I'm wrong, but we have cash flow, a profit that comes in. We have the ipos, more on the way and many projects that are important towards a cleaner energy. However we have so far 11 buys/sells compared to other companies that have very little news and probably no or very little cash flow until they discover anything, but still they see more action as in buys/sells. Its market conditions and we really could do with more than an average of 20 buys/sells a day. We are definitely under valued compared to where we were before
The issue that I have here as on so many boards atm,is that the low share price isnt a reflection on the specific company but rather the market in general.Good news often makes little or no difference and if it does, any rally is almost immediately sold into and the share price falls back to previous levels(or below).Any bad news and its goodbye 50%! There is a generation of investors who havent experienced this before and they get(probably understandably) frustrated. The tide will turn as it always does and then, regardless of any new news or not,the share price will be back to 2p or more. When good news comes then its anyones guess. Good luck all long term investors.
If he's a paid shorter then he will be making more money then the rest of us , his posts don't come across as a shorter either , more a concerned holder.
Tends to be the flow on a lse bulletin board , say something negative you must be a shorter.
Sean's plans for 2024 which include a molopo drill, a uranuim exploration , trying to get at least 2 ipos of the ground. A tati exploration and potentially a lithium exploration plus salaries and general cash burn will eat through that 500k in a heart beat, its not the 500k that will pay for it , its hopefully some of the remains of the placings we had earlier in the year.
2023 has that been a successful year for pow , maybe posters should answer that question before jumping on the ones that are not so positive.
I would say Roger your choice of words at times (prob like me) don't help you , don't disappear when if or hopefully we start picking up again
Roger65 - what’s up with this guy - he is either not invested and trying to drive the price down or just trashing his own investment with his negative patter , or maybe roger65 is just a paid shorter(probably the reason he is so negative)
I can’t see them struggling for cash seeing they have sold the KAV shares ..
think the group is better off if he disappears for 6mths…
Actually I think thehre might well be some new investors once this drops back to 3 or 4p. Zero confidence in new CEO. He's already shown himself to be a trier with the charm factor but he was never going to improve in that area on PJ. Otherwise he has all the same facts and figures to display to potential investors as PJ and it's clear no one buys into what they believe might be there. Not at this level though. Going to be a tough yer for POW lths and I suspect a big drop in sp until it hits a point where a bigger fish is prepared to thrown in a few £100k as a punt. Will take years for this to recover now imho. Molopo was the knife PJ cut his own throat with - and POW's. Cash that's left will fund salaries and not drilling campaigns imho. See you all in 6 months when I think things may have got so bad here that RR might throw in an offer with a few of his buddies to take it over.
Too true.
Molopo donkey was killed in an RTA by a wayward drill rig (defo not by a lion) of KAVs (en-route to the other white elephant project over at KSZ before they packed up for the "Great Zimbo adventure) and the vultures pecking over it's corpse are fully content to feed on cr*p.
DYOR, but IMHO avoid. GLTAH mind.
If there are any serious investors in the US looking at POW they would know how to invest now whilst it's on the floor of the LSE, rather than wait for a US listing. The best the US listing can hope for is that loads of pis come on board. I seriously doubt that will happen though. POW have nothing to shout about. If they have cash to spend then at the moment it's mostly going on Directors' salaries rather than any drilling. The Molopo roll of the dice failed. Trying again to pin the tail on the Molopo donkey will I think result in the same abject failure. After all, what evidence do they have now that they didn't when PJ had his turn at the party game? Miserable to see the sp drop yet again. If it carries on like this for another few months I can actually see a couple of US investors throwing a bit of cash in when the sp hits .3p
Lions, if they were there with their big paws waiting to bid would likely jump in early and the vultures would be pecking up after. Lions dont wait for an elephant, if they can grab a passing small zebra. We do have some rabbits nibbling on small buys, but not enough to make any movement. What a weird debate lol
Sol001, Doc is right, depends though if your a lion or a vulture. Lions sit and wait then when they see the opportunity their in for the kill, vultures only get what’s left.
No problem , wasn't arguing simply debating
I was replying to docs message regarding Petes message. Nobody of course knows or can predict when these things will happen. We didn't know the day before that the mfc rns would drop and would shoot the sp up. All we do here is give our own opinions and examples. We can leave at that if that's OK with you
Hence why I also put 2024.
What's the point of your post if its all based on an example , I could say as a example I might win 50m on the euros tonight and become a majority shareholder , the s.p will raise on the back of it and we will all do well.
Reality it all means jack.
The s.p will raise maybe when the markets turn or we start doing some decent exploration once they find the targets , maybe something like gmet can help out also.
Ultimately Sean's got a tough job on his hand , his hands are pretty tied rigjt now , he hasn't got a endless lot of cash, the portfolio needs exploration and the markets are a shambles.
Bonkers do you not understand for example only. Of course its not going to be Monday; why else would I put for example
