Apart from Fruits' witless interjection this is turning into a proper discussion. I'm not reading the report again - we've been there and done that. If anyone imagines there's more to the situation than succeeding spectacularly in the P2s and finding someone to fund the P3s they need their bumps feeling.

Spacman's point about the dream scenario of J+J being announced as a P2 partner is one I've made before too. Not as a serious suggestion of what might happen but as the only thing before a very good set of P2 results that could move the dial. But u know - all of that is top secret so we have no idea what the nature of the relationship is except for the unlikeliness of Janssen being here just for the altruism of it all.

It's the last chance saloon tho as we all know. And any residual value in patents or bags of snot won't find its way into our pockets when the landlord calls time.

The strategic plan is to get the P2s done as well as possible - see what that does to the share value of the company - and decide on the best P3 partner from that position. If the P2s are anything but conclusive and stellar - the games up.

The company's (sic ) strategy is to stand up the Sprinter deep dive - that's it !

That's all it's ever been from the moment Sprinter failed but they realised they still had something - to this moment.

If they can extend the good results in very ill patients across a range of viral infections so much the better and if it's complicated to do all this and add in whatever clever genomic assays they can get their hands on -then we understand and we've been patient. For 2 years.

We don't need essays on it and the constant regurgitation of passages from long dead RNSes, Synairgen just needs to crack on and get the trials underway.

Talking about Casanovalabs and Jint saying I was wrong to not cast the parnership as a meeting of equals - which he was right to do of course - but in looking at Clabs I looked at their twitter - and apart from having 4x the followers - it is just a constant rolling flow of information adout connections and partnerships and day to day stuff happening at the company. Hundreds of posts in the period Synairgen have made just 3.

Doubt they'd have missed highlighting their founder's quinquennial message to the world.

This morning's upheaval has been caused by the arrogance of one poster. We were discussing Auto-abs before he posted his "company update." If anyone should be reported for false information or lying we all know who it is

Perhaps if you just retract the " Now we have an update" statement - and rephrase it to say something like " I think this mention of full year results could be coded to tell us nothing will happen in Q1. "

That sounds more like a pi talking to fellow pis and less like Moses returning from Mount Sinai bearing the word of God.

Synairgen is progressing its plans, based on insights from non-interventional studies, to assess SNG001 in target patient groups with the highest needs.

You can expect announcements when substantive milestones are reached, and as per the financial calendar, with full year results for 2023 due to be reported in Q2

1 . Except you did say we'd get an update in Q1 - said it would come in March loudly and often.

2. An email to a pi from the company which also mentions full year results does NOT constitute an update. Unless you think the secretary has added in something sneaky and revealing for you personally Tommyd. We all know what an update looks like and smells like and that little line is not it. What they're actually doing is giving you a hint to leave them alone. Which ironically is what you've been telling everyone else to do.

But has any new information become available ? If it has we'd all love to hear it.

I say H1 is what we were promised. After two adjustments. I expect the trials to start in H1 and believe the company will be ready ( they couldn't shift it again surely) Knowing absolutely nothing - the same as everyone here) I'm expecting an RNS anytime from close of play today until stumps on June 30th

Haha and Gunto falls into line immediately. Based mon absolutely nothing. What can have changed in the last 4 or 5 days to make you both discount Q1 for an update - and effectively ( if the update comes in May) discount H1 as the trial start date

So Tommy - your expectation of a March update has now slipped to April/May - but of course you're going on the same evidence as the rest of us which is Zip since last September.

Why are you moving the trial update to April/May - given all your posts saying "we're only 25 days into a 6 month wiindow ... " Surely you're still confident of H1 aren't you ?

In the absence of a UNIVERSAL protocol ( hopefully someone can get past the firewall ) the Bastard trial I posted yesterday, is the one to look at. Specific assays which would work just as well for Covid patients on UNIVERSAL and the P2s.

This seems to be almost exactly the test needed for the Covid part of the P2s - It may be one of the assays they're using in UNIVERSAL - although I don't know enough to say whether this could also be used against COPD or Flu for example.

Until we see the protocol we have ZERO evidence that UNIVERSAL is using assays at all - all that was said at the AGM was that Synairgen intending to work with Casanovalabs on the P2s. It would be strange if they weren't though - given the trial's aims.

Nb. Joeyd posted enigmatically yesterday saying that Luciferase and ELISA (Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay )

were "the ones they used" but didn't stick around to clarify his meaning. The ones who used Joey ? Are you referencing the same study ? If you're looking in.

Nb2. And remember we're looking for a test that can almost immediately identify the Auto-ab patients - so speed of processing, which is not an issue in the Bastard study - is critical. Are they fast tests ? And can they be analysed in real time rather than in the lab months later

The original spac post was fabulous Gunto. It was bonkers of course but the most entertaining thing anyone had posted here for months. Didn't we all have fun imagining this strange subterranean realm where our beloved £25m company might suddenly be worth a billion or two. I didn't even mind that we weren't going to see any of the cash and would have still turned up at Gatwick to wave them all onto their US of A bound private jet carrying the locked case containing the colonel's secret recipe.

Hope you're right Jint. Casanovalabs and the other assays may find the 10% of auto-ab patients - but whether they'll benefit from SNG any more than the rest of the patients remains a question to be answered. The other 90% will be identified accurately with data analysis of our trials and UNIVERSAL. Age - co-morbidities and severity of pneumonia will almost certainly be the main metrics.

Well ok - if you think that was disrespectful to Synairgen Jint. I'm more interested in the study I posted ( which we've of course seen beofre) and the possibility that even if you can detect Auto-abs it doesn't do you much good if clinical outcomes are the same. Only one study and the authors says there are other studies showing different results - but it's decent sample of very sick ICU patients and only 10.3% had Auto-abs for Ifns and they did just as well as those without.
