Nobody said it's all been known for 2 years Td. The company has known - or should have known, if it read its own armageddon RNS - that the way ahead was clear. Up until that point they stupidly thought SNG was going to be a whole population drug - and for this reason they allowed anyone over 18 to join Sprinter. RM said after SG016 that if only SNG had been available at the start of the outbreak it might never have happened. Which of course was fanciful in the extreme, even in August 2020.

But by Feb 2022 the beginnings of the way forward were starting to be revealed - and if they'd analyzed the COPD data in good time - they'd have seen the future emerging even sooner. They could have had that data before any of the Sprinter design work was begun.

Fruits by the way - apart from all the "we're all doomed" links to new Covid strains - and the "jolly well done Tommy " posts can you point to one piece of your own research or insight you've ever brought to the board ? I can't remember anything off the top of my head.

You're in danger of choking on your own self important vomit Fruits. Of course the wealth of new Ifb studies informs their work in a general sense but not in the way you're suggesting. Background reading for Synairgen's scientists and for the terminally dull on here maybe, but they're using their own data from Covid and COPD + anything useful UNIVERSAL throws up ( in the way that I outlined ) + whatever dignostic test Casanova labs is lending them.

Thanks MyIPA you've climbed out of the right side of the bed today. Tommy is mostly a digger. Some of it good and useful to the board - but more of it dirt that he needs to throw at others to maintain his chokehold on the narrative.

My meaning is simple enough to everyone else to understand. Universal is critical in that it links all of the respiratory viruses together - some of which SNG has not been tested against. It allows them to say to the regulators - look - all of these signals are consistent and we have something that's already partially proven against stwo of the biggies - so can we please be allowed to trial against everything in one go. UNIVERSAL is not going to suddenly unearth something completely off the wall, otherwise someone else would have done such a cheap and simple trial before. We know from the first data release that there are many more similarities than differences between patients - regardless of what condition brought them to gasping to the infirmary. This will be reinforced in the deeper analysis

With my pretend thethascope hanging jauntily round my neck I'd say they're most likely planning one main trial for everyone who enters ICU with the correct profile and exacerbations - regardless of the cause - a UNIVERSAL with SNG if you like - and then another for Ventilators - as SNG hasn't been trialed in that sphere yet.

Tommyd can message them - hassle them for news - but he ridicules everyone else when they have a question. Tells everyone else again and again to be patient and asks " what update could you reasonably expect ? " or " tell me one thing they could say or do now "

As far as the timelines for the P2s goes - we are not 30 days in - but almost 2 years from the point at which Sprinter failed - and the RNS that also told us they'd found promising data in the most ill patients. They knew before that Feb 21st 2022 RNS where the company was heading. Two years. That's how long they've been working on this - a year and a half before the Interim report last September. Pointing the company squarely at a multi-viral future - in paid for presentations and round tables and at prestigious conferences. These trials were originally due to start in H2 2023 remember - then Q1 2024. So let's have no more obfuscation. The narrative is NOT set by Tommyd and his ratpack but is set by the truth of the last 2 years of slow progress and limited engagement with shareholders. If the trials start in June - they'll be nearly a year late. In this context - and bearing in mind the promise of better comms at the AGM - everyone who wants answers is entitled to ask for an update.

The crucial data for this new patient profiling comes from 3 SNG trials. COPD (SG015) the Covid P2 & Sprinter ( SG016 & SG018 ) They've had this data ( or should have had it - if they'd analyzed COPD immediately ) for 3, 5 and 2 years respectively. UNIVERSAL will add its findings, but they won't be much different to what we already know - and hopefully Casanovalabs will have something to contribute too - but Synairgen's scientists already know what the protocols will be. Age - pre-existing health conditions - viral pneumonia -oxygen and ventilation ( separate trial) and autoabs maybe if the test can be done easily and quickly.

In the absence of connective tissue low level communications - which show PIs they are valued -you're gonna get the daily shi.tshow we've seen on here for the last 6 months.

My one post today - make of it what you will. I'm personally happy to wait - I have no alternative. LTHs should all be topping up to reduce our exposure at these levels - and we probably would be if our faith in the company matched our faith in the drug.

I do sense a change in behaviour though. More conciliatory - more discursive - slightly less pompous - stifling the temptation to talk down continually and abuse your interlocutors. The change came as MyIPA joined the board to offer support and show you how to engage the enemy without aggression. It's been pointed out to you that you're coming across as an a.rse and you're trying hard to take it on board.

Mani is right about the hypocrisy of course. Here you are - hassling the company for information that they either " do not know or cannot share ". ( your words ) You're asking for a " pointless handholding update " ( you again ) when you should of course " learn to be patient " ( guess who ? )

You can go back as far as you like. My points - as you seem to have missed - relate to communications in the past 4 months.

let's focus on Prof SSH for a moment though. Why wasn't his quinquennial letter to the world promoted by the company - you were very excited about it - but the company didn't share your sense of its importance.

If you didn't understand that point Tommy - send it across the F or G or even MyIPA and ask them to explain. And you can use "connective tissue" any time you like - you're welcome .

MyIPA's point about the company being gun shy of all investors ( except Fruits ) after the terrible messages they probably received after the Sprinter fu.ck up was very well made. You can see this in the responses on twitter since Feb 22. Probably part of the reason Brooke ran screaming from the building.

Good comms does not just mean market sensitive RNSs. It encompasses all the little connective tissue posts on SM that remind the world and shareholders that a company is still there and working hard. That they're not all still enjoying the company Christmas blanc de blanc on some sunny beach. Again I'd caveat this as I've done before by saying that personally I'm not fussed. Not now at least as after 2 years of waiting we really must be close to material news - but there are so many ways in which the company could have - and used to - share mid level news and insight.

You boys can't have it both ways and shout out at how important it is for PM or others to be flying the flag for the company and the drug by attending conferences or sitting on paid for panels - if you don't at the same time accept that these appearance are part of the visibility process - as is everything else the company is able to share with its supporters. Any potential new 2024 investor would have no idea if the lights are even on in SO16. A company that doesn't answer its phone - sends the same anodyne cut and paste email in response to every enquiry ( except to Fruits of course :) ) and has used Twitter just once in 4 months to repost the SG015 data. I mean the company didn't even share its founder Sir Stephen Holgate's 5 yearly message to the respiratory reseach universe.

We've all seen it of course - courtesy of the usual TFG channels - but absolutely zero from whoever is paid the big bucks to actually do this job on behalf of the compoany he helped found. I mean that's just pathetic.

RM's 2022 AGM comment was in relation to their hopes of inclusion on a platfrom trial. STRIVE was our favourite candidate - but he may have had other hopes that failed to materialise. The comment was made in the q&a and was part of the reason that those who attended reported back so favourably - which in turn led to a generally positive atmosphere on the bb in the summer/autumn of 2022 , but as the winter stretched on and Fruits came on frequently to tell us when Winter ended -and even suggested RM might have meant the sourthern hemisphere winter. the atmosphere started finally to change.

It was an unfortunate throw away comment that RM could have subsequently addressed and explained the circumstances that led him to such optimism. We'd have understood that. They'd just seen the very good DD into sprinter and may have also known how good the COPD analysis was going to be - although not released until September. Couple these 2 events with quite big presentations at major events and you can see how the despair of Feb 22 was much disipated by the time of the AGM. So there were good reasons for optimism - but by never addressing it again you can see why that would be seen by many as a failure - of communication if nothing else.

My feeling about comms is that none of us want constant inane babbling voices - we long ago accepted that the company doesn't really do social media or have much of a grasp of modern communications and only really posts about the most important things - but it really did promise to improve at this year's AGM - and all we got for that was the worst ever Proactive interview RM has ever done.

It doesn't matter at the end of the day - what will be will be - but how much more pleasant a place would this bb be if there was no reason for anyone to constantly bash on about bloody communications

You're on the payroll pal - and anything you ' know' is fed to you through the bars of your cage.

You're the man who still thinks Sprinter's failure was as act of God even after RM told you he wished he'd chosen different endpoints.

RM would seem to tick all the boxes for being useless. He gets credit for realising the generational opportunity Covid 19 presented for the oh-so-slow-probably-never-going-to-happen development of SNG and then guiding SG016 to a successful conclusion in a few dramatic months - and he also got SNG onto the ACTIV program but he fundamentally failed in everything that happened thereafter. Sprinter was a huge avoidable extinction level disaster which cost almost every penny created by Magic Monday - after which he should have been taken into the woods, given a loaded revolver and offered the gentleman's way out. Somehow he survived but on the rare occasions we've had sight of him in the 2 years since he's been shifty and evasive and deeply unconvincing. His long guilty silence speaks volumes.

Personally I've never been bothered that they don't say anything. I'd rather they said less actually - as whenever they do open their mouths to promise winter trials or set dates that they fail to meet, or tell us the commercialisation team is in place - the sp plummets.

What's undeniable is that the company has left itself plenty of wriggle room to tell us in a month or two that H1 is about to become Q3 at which point our T-F-G will start posting of the benefits of a winter trial
