We know there's positivity in the deep dive and in Synairgen's COPD data - and oodles of tangentially supportive evidence that may yet indicate a possible way to crawl out of the deep hole they're in - but burning £50 or £60 million on your one and only P3, then failing to get invited onto the platform trial you were desperately seeking and blabbing about, and crashing the sp from a high of £2.40 odd to 4.5p, before cancelling your twitter and heading for the safe room - feels pretty much like failure to me.

HN51 has been transmitted human to human in a small number of cases over the last 25 years. Very rare - always very close family contacts or staff caring for very ill patients in hospitals and no onward transmission beyond the first contact. It's obviously difficult for humans - even poultry farm workers to catch. The Washington Post - as ever - has a balanced view of the current outbreak - including criticism of cuts to the pandemic preparedness budget and an assessment of how well the CDC is prepared for any ongoing situation.

The reason they're not pressing the alarm button is that the strain detected in cattle and the human worker is exactly the same as the current NH5a strain in circulation - for which there is already a vaccine. If they see a mutation in either of the jumps from bird to cattle or cattle to human ( and we don't know the dairy worker was not infected by birds ) - they'll start getting excited. Something that might make human to human spread more of a likelihood. And ofd copurse that's the doomsday scenario.

Globally in mammals and for for bird populations in particular it's a growing disaster, with cases across hundreds of species and even confirmed cases in South Georgia's penguins and testing underway in the Emperor penguins of Antarctica.

Need to find out if the infected cattle are transmitting cow to cow - or all infected by wild birds, and if pasteurisation kills it in milk.

Not sure that's true dippfs. They announced Sprinter with the placing RNS in Oct 2020 and then added more detail - including the size and dosage changes in a December 2020 clinical update. Both RNSs contained material that they really could and perhaps should have released earlier in spearate announcents - but were able to hold onto until the main package was assembled. That's what i believe is happening now - they're readying everything and I hope almost ready to start either with a clinical update alongside the reults RNS or as a stand alone before this.

I'm sure they'll have lots to say within the next month or 6 so .

Having said that we've had plenty of them in the offing on the Thames these last couple of weeks - and in the nearing come to that. Dragging themselves out of the fast flooding muddy flow and sunning themselves on the pontoons of Raven's Ait.

I doubt there's a real reason why the sp should slip further than this Aether. Or at least not to an extent that makes any difference. Every day brings an announcement closer and although there is a slim chance it'll be a bad announcement and they'll have something negative to say about finances - there are overwhelmingly greater chances that the next word will be positive. Where this be the trial design or some sort of JV or equity deal hardly matters. Almost anything they say should leave us in a stronger position. Marginally stronger as nothing woll properly move the dial until the P3 is successful. If the traders bounce it around between 4 and 6p it doesn't matter as none of us are going anywhere.

Unless there's something like a JV to inform us about, they will tell us when they are ready to start and will start very soon after. That's how it was with SGO16 ( 18th to 31st March 2020) and Sprinter ( 18th December 2020 - 13th Jan 2021) . So there's still plenty fo time to announce and start in H1.

If this RNS doesn't come soon, they'll have to give us an update in the Full Year report RNS, in April or May.

Ridiculous really that there has been no breadcrumb trail at all. Nothing in all this time - no sharing of information on any level about the work they're engaged in or the people they're working with. Your last post was great Trinity but i fear this is misjudged. Synairgen is not to be yardsticked by the average time of drug development - which they're long past in any case. Synairgen's fundraise was not for its COPD potential or Asthma fans or for the current re-targeting as a multi viral agent. It was based squarely on the rocket ship potential offered by the pandemic to any and all drugs that might offer relief or save lives.

There are one or two very LTHs who remember the pre-covid era, but almost everyone else, including our major backer and shareholder came here for C-19. We came for 79%. And RM even told us after Magic Monday that if SNG001 had been authorised and in use before the pandemic began that it might not have ever started. They were so focused on it that they didn't even finish analysing the COPD data until after the disaster of Sprinter. Everything else stopped in that amazing period with free access to millions of trialists and accelerated approvals for anything that even sniffed like a Covid therapeutic.

Covid represented generational opportunities for companies with good candidates and decent management and Synairgen muffed it.

We can still support the company and hope that some of our badly invested money comes back before the tale ends, perfectly well without joining those who would rewrite history. The revisionists who tell us Sprinter's failure was unavoidable and to dry our tears and accept that hey - AIM is risky and drug companies on AIM are even riskier.

Sakura that made sense until we realised there was no cost-to-benefit future in the outpatient setting ( after ACTIV 2 folded ) - and never a future as a prophylactic, but that conversely the drug had delivered quantifiable and impressive results in the most ill cohort of Sprinter patients.

We thought it was a mass population drug after SG016 - that's what RM told us. You said it wasn't - and you were right. We and the BoD learnt a very hard lesson. You are wrong however to keep saying that interferons don't work. The deep dive showed there is a future in the right cohort - and if you disagree with this, you've never addressed it. None of your professed previous experience can cast any expertise on this issue as none of the science had been established when you were interferonologying. So you either need to address Sprinter's deep dive and tell us why we can't have faith in that data - or move on to another forum where you may find more of a welcome. ADVFN's SNG page is a good rest home for the weary at heart. You'll find many fellow travellers there.

Since sprinter has always been a matter of degree - of ine margins. But there are billions to be made in the margins and for any drug that can shorten hospitalisation and ICU time. That's the game - and it's still potentially huge.

I'll repost the Paxlovid mathematicval projections if you need convincing of just how many billions are to be made and saved by the saving of days and half days and hours in ICU. It's staggering - and SNG will be a success if it can secure just a small slice of this market.

Her "interferons don't work" line is clearly nonsense though and has been battered so severely that the long interferonology diatribes have mostly disappeared - so she's not really of relevance to us here .
