I have contacted the company Warrie. I did it on day two of finding out.

I got the standard cut and paste response that everyone else got. It was polite and indicated it was looking into things, but time is going by and I don't think it takes nearly two weeks to come to some sort of resolution about what this woman was doing either alone or with someone else. And whilst I don't doubt for a moment the company's tech or intent to do good, I do think it's struggling with what to do about this serious matter. The silence looks like coddling to many of us, rather than just resolving this via a decisive yay or nay RNS and letting us all move on. Either someone was up to no good or they weren't. It's that simple.

Thirty-seven sells that went magically unreported doesn't look like mere forgetfulness to me, no matter how much it is dressed up as 'oh well'.

It burns me because I love what the company is doing. But this mess is holding us back and the market agrees. What's taking them so long?

I don't think we are having a 'kangaroo court,' Warrie. It having an opinion on what went on. None of which was beneficial to shareholders or the company as we now find ourselves.

Yes, the process is ongoing and we should let it proceed. But that doesn't mean one isn't allowed one's say within reason. This whole thing could have been avoided if highly privileged insiders had played by the rules that they themselves sign up to.

Late reporting is highly questionable at this level of expertise.

I'm not buying your blaze, oh it's nothing, attitude. It is something and the longer it goes on the stinkier stuff like this gets.

I like this company and it does great things. A large part of my shareholding is now here and I want to support it going forward. But if it clings onto people that ultimately harm it, it will be less robust and trustworthy for it. No amount of glossing over and pretending it's no big deal is going to wash I'm afraid!

Does this indicate they're not desperate for money?

PS: Not trying to sway you, each to their own. But it looks as if weight of numbers are there for it to proceed to the next stage regardless. If you don't feel that it's right for you to do you will make your own choice.

I haven't decided myself fully yet, still mulling it over. I have a couple of days off this week and will look into it in more depth. HL have been very quick to reply to queries that had so will no doubt help you if you have any questions. GL.

Yes, I've spoken to HL about it. You don't need the HIN number and you'd just fill the form in.

I take your point about BHP but it seems that the CA suit involves 700,000 people so it's going to happen whether we want to protect the sp or not.

There are only 2 outcomes. Success for the claim or failure. A failure results in no costs to shareholders and success results in fees for legal expertise, but it will never be more than any compensation awarded to you if successful.

I've just come across this letter re: HL. I owned BHP in 2013 and have yet to read through it fully.

I'm guessing that by registering for the class action its free? At no cost to shareholders? Would there be any costs at znh stage or ard we exempt from that?

You can have a good company and have people involved within it that break the rules. The two things need not be compatible.

I do think that as a shareholder I'd like an explanation from the company as to why a seemingly competent adult married to a company director and presumably enjoying an above-average standard of living doesn't understand the declaration rules that even I do with the company share scheme I have at work!

And we cannot know if she just wanted a new yacht or whether she has received inside info. None of us can know that yet. Or if he knew, protected her, was part of it or he called it in after discovering it. It would be sort of nice to know.

That they don't seem to be dealing with this Boughtwood issue quickly.

I want him gone from the company, personally. No good can come out of salvaging this mess and looking the other way.

I'll be truly happy though only when they removed Mr B - imo.

I appreciate that he's a key character for them but the law is the law. No amount of gloss with new appointments will detract from the sourness of this episode until we have people in who treat their position, and shareholders, with more respect than the Boughtwood/s seemingly have done.

Despite all of this, the fact still stands that this new appointment looks excellent and hopefully bodes as such.

I think I can sense what's going on here. Ducks realigning in a corporate fashion as one door closes sort of thing, but without the fanfare of booting a founder out unceremoniously first? Idk. It remains a point of contention that Mr B knew what his wide was doing, depending upon how these two live their lives at home, which none of us can know.

But given the nature of the situation Mr B will know that whatever he has personally done or not done, responsibility does fall on himself as director, just as responsibility for damage falls on landlords in the rental market. And I'm sure he and the company know what the honourable thing to do is.

But we will see. I'll reserve judgement about this matter until company judgement about him comes through and act accordingly then.

On the face of it this particular RNS is a champ though and strongly hints that high-calibre individuals are not put off by one person/family's actions within the company. Especially not when the overall model looks sound and strong.
