I was hoping that following the CMD brokers would revise guidance and issue updated notes highlighting the successful start to the EPS which would then attract press attention. Vigo take note.

From their Interim Results today:

"Exit from Spirit Energy and Nuclear

We expect to exit our interest in Spirit Energy by the end of 2020, in addition to our already announced intention to dispose of our interest in Nuclear power generation. We expect to exit Spirit Energy via a trade sale.

Spirit Energy is a robust, self-financing entity in a range of price environments. However, E&P is not strategically core for Centrica and our intended exit from Spirit Energy is aligned with the global transition to a lower carbon energy mix."

In their last Trading statement on 13th May Centrica mentioned “the planned disposal of its interest in nuclear,”

On Spirit they said: “E&P production from Spirit Energy and Rough slightly ahead of expectations in the first four months of the year. Drilling commenced on the Hurricane Energy-operated Warwick Deep well, the first in the three-well programme in the Greater Warwick Area.”

They also said: “We intend to provide a strategic update regarding our portfolio and prospects at the time of our Interim Results in July." (30th)

As HY results are approaching the press is speculating. If anyone has evidence that Centrica have indicated an intention to sell Spirit please advise.

Of the 3 drills Warwick Deep and Lincoln are the only 2 candidates for tie back to the AM. Warwick Crestal is too far away.

HUR issued an RNS on the first offload without declaring the amount. Why? Possibly because they wanted to announce it at the CMD. In the event the information got out before and despite AS making the clever chap remark he was probably rather miffed. During the CMD he talking about the possibility of hiring a rig next year and he made a point of saying that they will release the news BEFORE it appears in the fleet status report.

I’m not making an argument on the question of whether the information is or is not worthy of an RNS. The point is that HUR know the information will get out via a non verifiable source if they cannot silence Vopac. Are they content to allow this to happen? I think not and all I’m suggesting is that if HUR cannot control the release of information by Vopac they may prefer to announce the volume themselves rather than allow the information to reach the market via this BB.

Will HUR RNS the offload volume this time? Alistair Stobie is well aware of the previous occasion. Can he keep a lid on it and if not does he just let it happen?

Yes it will be quite informative if Amaja can elicit that info again, as long as AS hasn't put the screws on Vopac.

Unless they are offloading sub 300K they must be flowing in excess of 10k per day
