GLA LTH
Now we have MHRA approval of the best test in the world I’m looking forward to the UK press moving from praising our vaccination programme to proclaiming the UK’s escape from restrictions being down to Avactanation!
GLA LTH
will become the focus of governments around the world:
Thank you. I tried AVA6000; AVACTA; pre|Cision but all drew blanks. Think I’ll leave policing of this one to you Sir!
Thanks for keeping an eye on this for us all gmcc. Would mind letting me know what search criteria you are entering on that site?
Well, it’s a possibility isn’t it?

The world’s biggest rapid Covid-19 test maker will start manufacturing in the UK, with a factory in Wales set to begin producing millions of tests a day this summer.
Dan Elliott, chief executive of California-based Innova, told the Financial Times the company was “making large investments into the UK” to produce the tests for domestic use and export.
“The UK is a key market to us,” he said. “We’ve been a good partner to the government, the government’s been a good partner to us.”
The government has been heavily reliant on Innova to support its Moonshot testing vision despite its ambitions to bolster the UK’s diagnostics sector and the fact that the company has come under heavy scrutiny over the accuracy of its devices.
Innova, which is owned by private equity firm Pasaca Capital, has supplied the UK with more than 1bn tests produced in the Fujian province of China, as part of contracts worth more than ÂŁ3bn.
AMS are world leaders in sensing technology and have entered the CV-19 test market with this device. I wonder what reagent they are using? Could it be us?

A year ago today the sp was £1:50. At £2:60 today it’s up 73%. Suggest you buy new batteries for your calculator
Just took a call from an apoplectic official from MHRA’s Publicity Office. He told me in no uncertain terms what will happen to me if I correctly refer to their office as being responsible for hindering rapid action. In future postings here I’m only to use their correct name which is
Ministry of Hindering Release of Affimers
Perhaps MHRA stands for Ministry of Hindering Rapid Action.
Certainly living up to their name.
HL just quoted me 268 to sell, 270 to buy, so business as usual then?
Excellent field work Detectives. Looking forward to buying you both a pint at The Wetherby Whaler - I’ll be wearing a Shumper.
Good work Detective JRDC - lol! But seriously it cannot possibly be Innova though given their awful performance and dire press coverage. Ignoring our best in class, home-grown pedigree the Govt wouldn’t dare . . . would they?
National news coverage on LFD’s this morning may attract new potential investors over the BH week-end. With thanks to Energyshares for posting this back in early March:

I sent her a link to our results presentation webinar inviting her to listen to Prof Al from the 9 minutes mark in response to this quote on BBC website by Dr Hayley Jones, senior lecturer in medical statistics at the University of Bristol, who questioned whether there’s an accurate LFD that picks up asymptomatics: "I've seen no direct estimates of the accuracy of these tests to detect 'infectiousness', so we don't really know whether the tests are good at this or not."https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/56675624
You never know, it might do some good.
Entrants take a home LFT and have to show either a text message or email confirming their test was negative on arrival at Kempton on 15 May. This suggests the LFT will carry an identifier of some sort ( QR Code? ) tying the test result to the entrant which is captured using a mobile phone camera.

Probably going to get a swarm of NYCT wasps buzzing round my head for this but seeing our SP at 260+ today and NCYT at 360 I’m wondering when ours will move ahead. Having held NYCT and sold out in the 700’s I feel entitled to watch this one pan out. Onwards and Upwards AVCT!
I’m certain everyone working for this amazing company are pleased to see the boost to the sp this morning and if any read this board at the relief and excitement shared here.
The staff at Avacta have probably been working under difficult conditions throughout Lockdown and were no doubt as frustrated as all of us at the apparent lack of support or indifference shown by Condor, Porton Down etc over the past 6 months. I say well done to you all and thank you. I’m proud to be associated with this remarkable, game-changing BRITISH biotech company.
Whilst seeing the sp fall from 275 to 225 may test the resolve of the LTH, look at this week from the MM’s point of view. They have been steadily dropping the price, hoovering up significant volumes of stock released by the disillusioned short term traders and weak PI’s who came in late hoping for a quick profit. As soon as the CE/CV RNS lands the MM’s will “offer” their stock of cheaply-acquired stock at an eye-watering premium of at least 50p per share. They must be rubbing their hands with glee knowing what’s coming. Don’t play into their hands. Hold on to your shares and be patient. GLA LTH
Leaving aside the frustrations of waiting for the CV/CE news to be released, I’ve been wondering what the take-up numbers will be among the UK population of the 2 free LFD tests per week.
I think most informed posters on here will agree the authorities have a battle on their hands encouraging widespread take-up particularly in deprived areas where either the perceived risk of loss of income if proved positive is a real disincentive and those who stubbornly refuse to take a test because they believe themselves to be healthy “What a waste of time and money” are common criticisms.
I remember years ago, marketing companies frequently used the “Golden Ticket” randomly included product packaging, you opened your Mars bar and checked the printed code inside to see if you’d won. I wonder if the attention and imagination of the many doubting Thomases across the UK would be captured if the 2 free LFD per week campaign was presented in a similar way. If your test shows a positive result and the confirmatory PCR test was also positive “Bingo!” You’re paid £1,000 to self-isolate.
“Take the Test - Win a Grand!”
