Well done Mowzerocks and good look with the radiotherapy- hope it goes well for you.
Arise Sir Alistair Smith
Goodbye Terry. Filtered
So . . . no hoped-for 07:00 RNS on January 10th. Makes me wonder if AS would want to be out of the UK when this important news is released. Anyone know when he returns from the J P Morgan conference?
Is it possible that MMs pushed the price down today to take advantage of the traders selling their OO shares only to take a healthy profit marking the price up as we head towards the anticipated Pk results RNS? Wouldn’t put it past them. GLA
The wording here reads differently to me. This reads as a done deal . . .

To save you scrolling down the list of contributors egress is David Wilson’s Biography- interestingly it says he is a Board member of two early-stage diagnostic businesses developing novel point of care diagnostic testing platforms,
Two businesses?
“ David brings to Avacta over 25 years international experience in business development, marketing and sales management in the in-vitro diagnostic medical devices industry, having held senior commercial and Board level positions in global corporations, angel and venture capital funded start-ups and a sector specific trade association. He is currently a Board member for two early-stage diagnostic businesses developing novel point of care diagnostic testing platforms, and has served on the Executive Committee of the British In Vitro Diagnostics Association (BIVDA). David has a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of St. Andrews and a MBA from the Open University Business School. Curious that Poirot was able to publish the content of Avacta’s RNS 15 minutes before it was released at noon today. Not seen that happen before. Could have been a valuable opportunity not only buy and hold types but also for some short sellers to close positions if they were as quick off the mark as Poirot. Interesting times . . .
Onwards to Avacta DE news being released.

Thank you for sharing these details. I note the minimum age for patients recruited for the trial is 18 but the maximum age was left blank. I’ve read that chemo is not given to patients 60 years of age or above but also that AVA6000 could be given to older patients. I do hope some of those recruited are in the older age group.
Bella: re. HL, I held IQE a couple of years ago when it was one of the UK’s most shorted shares. Holders were encouraged to contact their brokers and ask if they loaned shares for short sellers and to formally request their shares not be used. I wrote to HL and they replied to me to say their policy was not to lend their clients’ shares.
Thanks for the reassurance Oldtrader
Reaper: another possible explanation I read on here for Jupiter’s increasing short is they are working on behalf of a large predatory Pharma who has Avacta in their sights. Above my pay-grade but am intriguing proposition.
Zoom: Simply Wall St website gives this view on Avacta’s cash position:
“ Stable Cash Runway: AVCT has sufficient cash runway for more than a year based on its current free cash flow.
Forecast Cash Runway: AVCT has sufficient cash runway for 1.5 years if free cash flow continues to reduce at historical rates of 13.7% each year.”
Clearly not - just unusually quiet
Is the bb down?
I share the sick feeling with you BusyBuilder having also been here with IQE, VRS, CX4D . . . We all have to wait now for positive AVA6000 news to be released which will I’m sure will repair the damage

Oi!! Doberman!! No!!
Check my post at 12:49 and Timster’s immediately after. Global Agreement running in the 2:35 at Wetherby was my tip so you owe me that pint - lol!!
Could Timster’s cryptic post be a pointer towards Global Agreement running in the 14:35 a Wetherby this afternoon ?
It seems Steve Brine MP ( C: Winchester & Chandlers Ford) is taking my complaint seriously.
Here is a further message from him:
“ Dear Mr XXXXX
Thank you for your further email.
I shall look at the adjournment debate.
I have also noted your comments about PMQs yesterday and the testing at Porton Down. I shall feed this back into discussions with Ministers.
I shall be in touch once I have a response from the DHSC regarding your original question.
Kind regards,
Steve
Steve Brine MP
Working hard for Winchester & Chandler’s Ford”
Not that I am expecting anything earth shattering in DHSC’s response (assuming they bother to reply to Steve Brine this year) but I responded to my MP’s letter by asking him to read Hansards’ account of Neale Hanvey’s Adjournment Debate last night on the poor support HMG have shown towards the UK’s diagnostics companies. Ironic isn’t it that it takes an SNP MP to speak up for a manufacturer like Avacta who are based in England?
I also pointed out to my MP (an ex-Minister of Health) that Boris Johnson’s response to the Labour Front Bench during yesterday’s extended PMQ’s that the biggest LFD manufacturer in Europe is in Nottingham was in fact a reference to SureScreen in Nottingham where they only ASSEMBLE CHINESE tests.
We may all be wasting our time trying to bring pressure to bear on the Government over these appalling delays to HUA for AffiDx but I am doing my best to protect my investment and that helps me feel better. Those on here that constantly moan about Avacta and it’s (apparently ineffective) PR company or pick fights with other posters should IMHO find something positive to do with their time that might actually help.
