As long as GGP keeps delivering ROI to investors - I'm sure we can all agree it will have a place in our portfolios. We will all have our thoughts on future macroeconomic direction and what factors we weigh in more heavily than others.
GGP is building very robust foundations from the get go, we couldn't have had a better start, partly due to Shaun and co. and partly due to the macro and Shaun and co. anticipating this and
Further financial, Telfer and Hav updates will help build a clear and definitive picture of how robust even in adverse conditions GGP may be and how much debt we may or may not need to call upon for our planned development.
The key as an investor isn't for us to be planning to hold companies through thick and thin surely IMO, but be invested in the right companies at the right time. Should we enter adverse conditions for mining companies in future I won't be invested in any of them - but where the money is to be made hopefully.
However - this certainly seems to be the correct company to belong in my portfolio currently and perhaps for a long time if the tailwinds continue to favour this sector. A lot of concerns we might have had have been mitigated already for most of us you would think such as :
- Telfers LOM and profitability
- Any gap in production between Telfer and Hav
- Ability to fund Havieron and Telfer development
Again, we couldn't have got off to a better start and as the old timers say, make hay while the sun shines and no doubt company will be well positioned to weather any adverse conditions or challenges in future should they appear.
