RE: Something to ponder.31 Jul 2025 07:58
Very speculative press article firstly and while some of the Oz press industry might identify good leaks now and again, they also seem to do the usual of much speculation as any in their industry to gain audience.
Secondly, much too soon to judge the ASX listing yet and we need to see if the assumed benefits kick in after the mandated fund buy in's occur, if not then a huge assumed catalyst for ASX in short term will have failed.
Mid to long term benefits being measured from an ASX listing such as inorganic growth, funding if needed etc. means staying invested for a few years but in reality if GGP is deemed undervalued in 9 to 12 months against peers, the management will be failing IMO and will be better vehicles for my money.
I don't understand why you're looking for opinions Southern when you don't seem to respect anyone else's vs your own from what I've seen from you? Have you ever tried contacting the company, attended a Town Hall or submitted questions to webinars to grill Shaun on anything?
I have used all of these avenues and been able to get responses via all these channels constantly Vs forever moaning about how the company could be run better and how any LTH disagreeing with you is disingenuous on here.
As a retail shareholder with little power like the rest of us, I suggest you set some targets and timelines and if the company fails to meet your expectations then you should sell. I deem this year in its entirety to be the minimum period of assessment personally after all the events that have transpired.
One thing is for certain however and Shaun has voiced it himself in past, a quality company can't keep running cheap in the market. From my own experience, somehow it will be snapped up and at times that can be orchestrated by aggrieved major shareholders, good luck to anyone trying to predict Twiggy on these boards unless you know what expectations and targets his team have for GGP personally...
Shaun and co. do need to ensure that the company stands out Vs peers in whatever timelines likes of Wyloo are setting them. As investors we should all have the same set, but judging the ASX listing this early is a mistake IMO, we need more data and time to make conclusions on short term benefits as that is all that can be measured for now.
