Thank you and congrats Davy - it's always heart warming to hear GGP has given many a better level of life and/or retirement than they envisaged, not the usual story on AIM for sure :-))

While I miss the banter of the chat groups in the past - it's only natural for many PI to move on or slice and enjoy their spoils with their loved ones and very much what I was expecting once we rerated to these levels.

Plenty of potential left for any stake you choose to leave in for now too IMO - best of both worlds and congrats again:-))

@IBM - just ignore Helx2 - one of the P&D crew and an idiot of the highest order with the intellect and reasoning of an inebriated baboon.

@smiler - the issue is even if they could get Alien on ASX - if an Oz investor then why not pick the junior with a larger stake in the projects when it's two juniors in a JV rather than a mid or major with revenue streams. I was thinking about switching across to WCE as can deal with ASX in my platform and in hindsight seems might have been wise considering even when Silver was rocketing we came back to these levels.

GGP also had ASX planned as part of the conditions required by its major stakeholders and the benefit of a world class team lead by Shaun - don't forget they managed to raise significant sums while AIM listed despite the difficult conditions at the time and it was a transformational deal of a lifetime to buy Telfer and Hav - thereby become sole owners of the assets i.e revenue - and Telfer ended up being anything but end of life - which is what we'd all assumed as PI's.

GGP is not a good comparative example for Alien moving forward - Alien if it turns around will be a lesser opportunity compared to GGP IMO. BG at least has articulated his plan and engaging in comms but going to be a while here if we can't ride the PM tailwinds - seems our sails are a bit torn at mo and not really catching the full force of the tailwinds by any means...

I sincerely hope everyone heavily invested here has the same level of returns many of us are enjoying or taken from GGP, but that is a rare level of success in such a comparatively short time.

@Tug - trying to buy into explorers in the very early days and holding for years is risky in all sorts of ways while exploration still needs to uncover something meaningful and more of a gamble than anything.

You could have had a ten bag plus easily buying in post discovery hole HAD005 within a year with GGP (the point I bought in) vastly lowering level of risk and years invested but paying in 1p plus range - very rare to find these though (just remember to sell and not get stuck in the orphan period as many of us did by holding on beyond the Maiden MRE for Havieron).

The other strategy for this sector is buying in before production (research Pre-Production Sweet Spot and i have some posts on GGP Chat about it*) into very good projects when most of the financial and technical hurdles have been met.

GGP is no different to any other large corporation where you will see changes in the team from top to bottom as people move in and out of roles every few years - it is very commonplace and considered the norm vs staying in the same role for decades.

As long as the replacement is someone of the same calibre, it won't be an issue and the company is made up of people familiar with the key assets. GGP will just be a stepping stone for many of the management than their last ever place of employment all the way into retirement.

I'm not sure everyone here really understands dividends properly as the notion of them being free money in a sense is very wrong... when they make sense I am sure they will be instigated, shouldn't be a concern while company in reality should be in more rapid stages of growth.

I'm not suggesting I agree with BG, just my interpretation of the interview :-)

Why Alien seemed unable to replicate Fenix is a good question for the various iterations of the BOD of last few years...

BG seemed to have some gold play in mind at about 30k initial outlay to add to the portfolio as stated in the interview, not me ;-)

I'm just waiting for the herd to eventually arrive to make a trade out now than any long term plans here

I would have preferred better JV partners than these other juniors linked to the matrix of companies these same execs seem to whirl around and on reflection should have bought shares in them instead.

Read the interview excerpts from my link in last post - I see no indication that a deal for Hanc*ck in near term is likely - below are the insights I gained from it:

- Basically said UFO couldn't afford to move forward with EH and MM

- So made sense to JV out

- Nothing in the interview suggests to me that anything monumental is going to happen short term with Hanc*ck.

IMO it is increasingly clear that they may need to increase the resource to gain a decent deal of some kind than what has been previously put on table from anyone - so they seem to be considering the best way forward with the iron ore given they will need to spend more money than any deal being close.

Yep - GGP is in both as in order to be in top 100 you're obviously also in top 200 ASX stocks but I think Rot herby means Shaun stated that a few only invest in the ASX101 to 200 positioned companies, excluding the top 100.

Google Notebook is a decent basic research tool TBF as I used to run a company in the field and been testing of late out of interest. I've been testing various AI capabilities for a couple of years and AI now does a fair job at basic copywriting, artwork generation and basic to medium level information in certain topics I've been experimenting with which for sure are having an impact on those industries.

Major benefits are taking a lot of grunt work out by automating work, monitoring and reporting related tasks in my fields - offering much in the way of time and cost efficiencies. Much of the SFV (Short Form Video) being generated is increasingly AI for instance - in fact businesses not investing / training will get left behind in many fields. SEO increasingly has been adapting to take into account the use of AI for searches and content creation is another area.
