Some of the negativity is probably down to Warsh being fave for FED Chair being it's expected he'll favour QT vs QE so for some traders, profit taking seems wise perhaps.

GGP is always going to have very volatile moments being a goldie just as much as Newmont - best to get used to it than seeing specific conspiracies towards GGP everywhere as the sole reason.

Tymers has some crack if you really want to go down and dirty...

As long as Shaun meets and even better beats the conservative guidance strategy he is working within - we'll be more than fine as that will keep the big boys happy regardless of the Demon of Macquarie and it's Dark Arts of Disinformation.

Sitting there watching the SP and asset prices second by second (especially if staying up all night for ASX etc.) is a pointless waste of time if you have assurance in your own long term macro projections and thoughts for GGP.

It's going to take till H2 for GGP to release those key updates to help combat some of this genuine and manufactured caution still around, but the company is safe and secure making money. As for takeover threats - the largest one is if Twiggy turns on GGP but he has no reason to do so and would be a boon if others came looking for a slice of his cash cow.

Hi pj - yep, Shaun is using a very systematic approach and just working through the plan - it's reflected by others such as Roean and Monique when making their own contributions following the ethos set by the CEO. And of course once you get to this stage as a company - everything is kind of staged in quarters around these milestones of releasing updates to market across any sector.

You could see some of the analysts picking away for more info. to try and get more meat on teh bone for trying to work on their own future projectiosn as they have to work within their constraints too in terms of how they assess companies.

But he won't go down the road of talking too much about future outlooks without data out in market. TBH that guidance miss scenario is bound to have a bit of a mental effect where you want to avoid any future drama too I am sure. Conservative is usually how organisations operate the bigger they get anyhow.

When you go through the earnings call transcript and through the ASX broker and Analysts coverage for GGP, some of the major critiques appear to be:

- Shaun not raising production forecasts despite great results (posted about why he is probably being conservative on LSE earlier in this thread)

- Shaun having noted that first half of year is likely to be better numbers than latter was raised in call for instance as above

- GGP having become overvalued due to unsustainable long term POG in some of their opinions

- Overvalued in general with latest surge in SP given in their opinion high costs at Telfer (based on existing production profile long term I assume)

- Obvious concerns about Havieron development and permitting type issues that might arise as are common for any mine development, so not fully convinced yet about a production gap not arising or funding requirements being fully covered if issues arise

- Obviously GGP also has a lot of costs ahead with development at both key assets so those downgrading might consider this lowers profitability in future until the ROI swings back over once new Telfer areas and Hav in production

Again, the above in relation to my earlier post on LSE shows why the H1 updates are critical updates to help assuage what many of us here feel are incorrect based on our own forward looking assumptions for GGP and macro - but for GGP to negate this in the market they need to release JORC compliant updates (Maiden MRE for WDU, Telfer Resource and Reserve etc.) and then further on in Oz FY27 (H2 onwards for us ) use that data to then help form the co-processing outlook for Telfer/Hav to further strengthen the numbers in more longer term projections for the Telfer/Hav beast.

It's a process, an ongoing one and much of this key work is being completed before H2 including hopefully gaining the EPA approvals to get Hav DTM out there. A lot of these concerns whether valid or not in our opinion can be put to bed once the data is out there. I happen to think we've done amazingly well of late to be floating around £7 - so just let the next 5-6 months flow through and we should see continued uplifts in SP as updates come through into what we are mostly all assuming will be excellent conditions for mining stocks.

Small time Moony - put down £100k lump sums and show us you and your boys have some real money.

Seemed to me that the analysts and brokers not positive on the call and downgrading were thinking around the production forecast not being uplifted despite recent results.

Shaun just is very conservative in his approach in these regards though, he'd never give a Tom Palmer type soundbite when the sector was still struggling about once in a lifetime buying opportunity.

Shaun's articulating the growth potential on these calls - but in his own more measured and conservative way and waiting for the market releases with the data and analysis. A CEO who started in a more sales or marketing foundation for instance might be a more bombastic type.

These H1 updates are critical in that they'll be firstly sound which is not a concern to me with quality of team being world class and what we've seen from Greatland but then also in fully winning the market over, again not a concern for me.

You can't expect us to be rated fully alongside peers until these are released and the full growth potential is spelled out in technical detail. Greatland themselves need these peices of the puzzle before they can issue longer term forecasts and work on releasing a full co-processing outlook for Hav and Telfer in Oz FY27 from H2 onwards.

Still plenty of work ahead this year - my advice is not to get too stuck on SP watching minute by minute but focus on the strategy and execution, this after all is what helps feed market sentiment and thereby the SP and help negate any market manipulation - which is hardly just focused on GGP as if the only company in the world ;-)

Having conducted both manual research in the past on a few occasions and also of late using AI - broker SP targets aren't particularly effective predictors of SP - but great PR to have a deck of brokers being optimistic - albeit the general point that Daniel M is better researched stands and he's seemed very effective in NEM and NCM earnings calls too in past.

Getting too caught up in the technicalities of what might have factored in or not is pointless for the simple fact that generally over time there is no compelling proof that broker SP targets are accurate. As long as GGP experiences no issues and continues to perform and hits the scheduled milestones into H2 2026 in a hot market sector - we'll be more than fine.

I just think the next 6 months are a slow-mo 'blow the doors off' period where the forthcoming data and reports put Telfer out there in black and white so that analysts for instance can review the new reality for Telfer and start factoring it in while GGP can release forward looking projections and forecasts confidently and within regulations.

That will then be followed on in Oz FY '27 with the co-processing Hav/Telfer optimisation outlook at some point that gives an even more compelling business case for the Telfer/Havieron complex. If all this comes with this type of buzz for the sector I can't see why we're not going top build into a fuller valuation in a very decent timeframe. It's now abundantly clear to the market that funding for Havieron is no longer an issue, so really only technical or permitting type hurdles would be a concern in future.

Everything I studied about valuation methodologies pointed to meaningful value being ascribed to the more proven up and certified any data was for any asset/project - alongside any historical performance for production assets

The team still has some very critical steps to complete in H1 and the co-processing outlook is also going to be important to follow up with.

I can't see any issues as long as the company doesn't experience any issues with Telfer/Hav and the sector remains favoured - I would expect another stellar year of growth as a shareholder, so at the current time I intend to ride the momentum which besides the odd few days has been absolutely scintillating - it's all a matter of perspective :-))

Before we understood Telfer was going to stick around many didn't expect circa 35p in old money until Havieron in flow with how the market was, hard to be annoyed TBF if not for used on the SP constantly.

I really do think some LTH in chat groups need to switch off SP watching and focus on momentum in general and assess the quick recovery.

A year ago based on that environment I was going to be satisfied in 15-20p range if it stayed as was, not sure why anyone would be dismayed as we might break the old ATH this quarter with plenty of potential upside, we haven't even seen the WDU maiden MRE or Telfer resource and reserve updates.

I think the market, analysts etc. do need to see everything confirmed in black and white and as Shaun reiterated in the call the focus is on getting that data out in H1 to then help build the more long term forecasts and plans for production.

The analysts were just doing their job and the teams job is to answer queries and quell any concerns, clarify anything that more detail is requested for - which they seemed to do for the most part.

A new producer with lots of development ahead on both key assets leaves some grey areas that need filling in and will take some more time but the SP momentum we've experienced lately suggests that GGP is growing into fuller value at a decent pace :-))

Couldn't have hoped for a better start to the year than we're having ;-))
